WEIRD! How Chris just so "happened" to be in the area. A "volunteer" NASA Scientist that works on geothermal projects. 🙄 WHH-EIRD!! PRETTY IRONIC! My prayers go out to the family. It LOOKS like the pumpjack was off the well, so I'm guessing they were either about to punch in, installing the pump jack, or capping the well back off. They serving the well somehow. Either a Service rig, possibly with a rig-assist snubbing unit, or (my guess) stand alone snubbers. My guess is they were almost done but a plug got out after equalization the tubing and casing. Or a burst disc let go prematurely.
@@deo1011 Oh ya, back in 1985 when gas was 39.8 cents a liter? "Tourmaline Oil, Canada's largest fossil gas (aka “natural gas”) producer, just announced 2022 profit of $4.487 billion. That's up 121% from 2021. The combined 2022 profit of Tourmaline, Suncor, Cenovus, Imperial, and CNRL is $38.3 billion! That's more than double their profits of $16.9 billion in 2021." this happened because of the UCP deregulating safety in the O&G sector. I expect to see this happening more frequently as Danielle Smith continues the fight to turn the rockies into a strip mine

Actually NO! What we need is Acoustic Wave Liquid Solder-based Hydrogen Plasma Compression (aka Modified Sonofusion) using only water and a 12 V starting battery as the initial startup power supply. So long there is incoming water, AWLSHPC power packs are the size of two home refrigerators and can EACH output 10 Megawatts (13,410 Horsepower)! Hookup 1000 of them in series within a SINGLE WAREHOUSE, such a setup can provide 10 Gigawatts CONTINUOUS electricity 24/7/365 which is enough to supply 3 million homes! That system is about to be introduced in Canada in the next few months! The system was ENTIRELY designed and built in Vancouver, BC, Canada and will be made publicly available ASAP! And it will be MUCH CHEAPER than Natural Gas, Nuclear, Coal, etc. Even Hydroelectric power isn't as cheap as Acoustic Wave Liquid Solder-based Hydrogen Plasma Compression! V
Deepest condolences to all those affected by this tragedy.

All work done in the oil field is done by contractor's. From the construction of the lease, drilling fracking to the daily well maintenance.

There’s a pipeline on fire in La Porte which is close to Houston Texas, as well.
