I can relate to your statement. I'm alumni from a small KY band, GRC. We were GN finalists from 1988-92. One time, in the '91 season I think, we were Gran champions at two BOA regionals. The highlight of my hs experience was defeating Marian Catholic at a very early season regional. I was on cloud nine, but truth was, Marian just had half their show on the field. We didn't face off again until GN:s. Marian Catholic beat us like a red headed step child. Wasn't even close. Gregg Bimm I must say was an awesome director. I was blessed to have Jeff Hood as my director. He later left for Paul Laurence Dunbar, Lexington KY. Retired now. But all I know is I'm 48, and still can't get enough of watching marching bands.

It is so surreal to see this and think, “This is the first competition Marian Catholic has done without Greg Bimm.” Whatever happens with the competitive results, I hope these students feel pride in bring part of this program and their performances.
I think Greg Bimm is writing this show? I don't know this for a fact but wasn't he staying on to write/arrange their shows?
@RomanMikos The drill is, in fact, the work of Greg Bimm. He was just in today for a meeting with the directors.
That makes sense. It’s good to see Greg Bimm still has a strong standing with Marian Catholic, just with a new role.
If the band kids can clean this show up real well, this has got to make it into at least semi-finals. (hopefully) finals, but definitely a lot of potential here.

@@sirhappyvalley I think they can win another national class championship, this time in Class A, but the competition is quite steep for FINALS and they're going to need a lot of help to get there at this point. And I want to see MC back in finals (Top 12) one day.. but let's be REAL about it. BOA should automatically qualify national class champions into finals competition... but this has the makings of their best program since 2019. A good start, but let's not go overboard.
