I can say with experience that 1 half of every battle in med2 is just chasing the enemy. Unless it's a siege battle. In that case you get to slaughter them all.
that was me...i was preparing for a high round strategy and actually got lucky getting the raygun and was searching for the Thundergun (another OP weapon in the game), to hit the mystery box faster i switch to the non-important gun and take whatever, until i mistakenly got the stupid sniper rifle with my Ray Gun instead of the non important gun...sad.
