- Quick compilation of some first meetings between the stars and pros off the top of my head. A couple are staged lol, but there's some cute ones in there :)

Something really sweet about Donald Driver & Peta's first meeting: Donald was a mega-fan of DWTS and this was only Peta's second season after getting eliminated first in her first season. IIRC, he actually requested her as his partner simply because she was eliminated so early on the previous season and he wanted her to get another chance :) It paid off, they won! Peta and Jenna, the two Mrs. Chmerkovskiys, are the only pros to be eliminated first in their first seasons and go on to win their second seasons!

I have heard a lot of stories about how OD Derek was in the early seasons. He definitely matured and relaxed as he got older and gained more experience with different partners

Madi Willard Yep! Season 10 which was also Brooke Burke's debut as a co-host, who ended up being replaced with Erin. Erin was pretty good, if she hadn't been up against a Pussycat Doll and an Olympic champion figure skater she probably would've won! My favorite dances of hers were the Samba and Argentine Tango.
