I recently upgraded my air pump on the 75 gal tank in my rec room. I chose the Alita AL-6A. After isolating the pump, it measured around 45.5 dB, making it both powerful and quiet. You can buy this Alita air pump here: amzn.to/2Kho7sk
You can probably run 10-12 devices on that Alita 6A. Maybe more if you have shallow tanks. You keep your books under your aquarium? And you have some goodies there too - time to invest in a bookshelf above the tank!
Just a ph overpriced cheaply built petco stand I bought years ago. Although it’s been reinforced with 2x4 on the bottom and 1x4’s in the cabinets. I don’t trust those prefab stands...LoL.
To be honest, with my maintenance schedule, the tank with the ziss filters always tests the same as my other tanks with just sponge filters. I probably won’t buy any more. They’re noisy, and I’m not sure they add any additional benefits over just having a couple of good quality sponge filters. Just my opinion.
I find it immensely fun going through and finding all the names that are different now... also, I believe, in its current existence, it's like maybe 5 or 6 books as big and about 50 bucks a pop!
I really enjoyed this video! I was curious if you were still satisfied with it and if it is a diaphragm or linear piston? Also, are parts easily available and are they easy to service? Thanks very much for sharing 👍.
Love the Jehmco LPH80. It is a linear piston pump. Not sure on the maintenance. Supposedly these run 8-10 years on average before they need serviced. 🤷♂️
Love the Jehmco. So quiet. The only issue is it’s supposed to handle 80 outlets. I have 54 and feel if I add many more, I’ll start losing too much air flow efficiency.
Not sure. I do know Rachael O’Leary loves her Alita pumps. Jehmco just seems to be the gold standard with premium air pumps. At the end of the day, they’re both great brands. My central air pump in my fish room is a Jehmco.
Yes I have had fry from the WC Tetras. Sadly none survived. However those fry were found in the QT tank with heavy current and an HOB filter. I have a group of 7 in a breeding tank back in the fishroom. I’m working with them as they are a priority. I’ve never focused on eggs scatterers, so this tetra thing is all new to me.
Thank you for sharing. I'm new to air pumps and I enjoyed watching your video. Have a great day and happy fish keeping
Nice bubbles and a healthy tank!
Sweet tank Bud!!!!! Beautiful! 🙏
Great video thank you! I wanted to inquire what lights were you using on the 75?
looks like a nice small pump that will do the trick
Great vid! You have an amazing voice for this kind of stuff! Hope you do more.

I may have to upgrade to this air pump at some point. Great looking tank by the way. Thanks for sharing!
What about the sound reading after you put the stones into the aquarium
Nice airpump
Fantastic. Love the tank. This is my next big purchase also
Your shivram tank is awesome

Great information and I love your tank! 💖🐠🙂
I love your tank. Great filter. I just ordered the 15
It works great for a small pump. Love it! 👍
Thanks for sharing...👍
nice info
What Filters are you using that are yellowish ? Would love to get them for my tank
Does the ziss does a good job keeping water parameters in check?
He needs a nice big hornwort spawning mop.

What air pump would you recommend for a 240gal?
Old school Baensch in the cupboard! Haven't seen the same one as mine for ages! What year? I'll have to pull mine out in a future video and compare...
It’s old. I probably bought that back in the late 80’s or early 90’s.

A very wise investment. Are you still happy with the linear pumps you are using in the fish room? Any issues? Great update Tom.

Anyone know if this is quieter than a Tetra Whisper AP-300?
does alita stand up next to jehmco?
Not sure. I do know Rachael O’Leary loves her Alita pumps. Jehmco just seems to be the gold standard with premium air pumps. At the end of the day, they’re both great brands. My central air pump in my fish room is a Jehmco.
Aqua forte v-10 is the most quiet pump you will ever come across, it´s even quieter than eheim 200!!
Those Tetras haven't spawned yet?

ok cool, good luck!!!
