Nice tone. These smaller bore trumpets are going to make a comeback eventually as they are a lot easier to control. I had my large bore Schilke serviced last week and it's like a new trumpet again. I played my first orchestral rehearsal since last February this week!
@@GordonHudson I don't have stacks of oomph, personally. :) I often use a Warburton 7 backbore; for the WT I'm looking for a 4. :) I've heard that helps. Magnificent horn though; gorgeous tone, even at half-wind.
Most small bore horns I've played, which have been vintage Conn's and King's, were very easy to play - and NOT stuffy. If one is playing a lot in high range, a medium or small bore makes good sense. Thanks for the kind comment, Filippo. Keep in touch! :)
No, but it was a fine horn. Other than not playing like a traditional Bb, it was very nice. Mine had the ,40 gauge brass, thinner than their usual ,45. It’s definitely a model worth finding though.

Well, my Medium Bore B6 is soooo efficient. Incredible horn, really. I just landed a Wild Thing, too. It’s not quite so efficient as the B6. :)
@@JonathanMilam1 I had a Wild Thing and played it on a very large Monette mouthpiece. It killed me, and I have stacks of oomph.

@@JonathanMilam1 It works better on tighter backbores for sure. It worked well on my MF Jet Tone..
Well done Jonathan. Interesting horn. Shame it’s nickel plated as would not work with my allergies. Loved the sound.
Gotta say, looks like most Adams A6 are lacquered brass. This is different.
I am considering a small or medium bore trumpet. Are they easier to play in the upper register? Wonderful playing!

I got your message Jonathan. Are you still in possession of this beauty?

@@JonathanMilam1 awesome! Thanks for the advice!
