As a rider who nearly lost a leg (massive open fracture requiring skin grafts) due to riding safe and courteously, I respectfully disagree! If I'd had ridden through the cycle lane like I was planning to, but instead thinking there was a unmarked police vehicle in the oncoming queue up to a traffic calming single lane pass through that I had right of way, I may not be missing half of my calf, with titanium in all 3 bones of my leg and have a lifelong disability right now! I saw the oncoming car stopping to give me the right of way (nose of the car dipping when braking) only to decide that because I had slowed to be cautious they wanted the right of way and ploughed through me! Ride aggressively defensive people, trust your gut and take the shortcuts... Especially never trust another vehicle to do what they're supposed to! I should have ridden like moron through the cycle path.. my gut told me to and I didn't listen!

I was leaning inwards, yes, my wife (who was riding behind me) said she thinks it was too much lean, though it didn't feel like that to me... Tire pressure was fine. I also usually trust those knobbies in most circumstances. There may have been a bit of front brake, but I really feel like the road surface was the main factor in this case. I did mebtion later on that it's slippery even when walking on it! Btw, I'm close to finishing that 5000 km trip and I definitely didn't feel the tire slipping again, not even in the rain...

I have ridden for years. not once has that turning into gravel got me. Stop using your handlebars to turn and just lean slowly into it. Also, maybe go little wider than a normal turn. That way you're going into the gravel with the bike more straight than turned position. Just a thought. I have never had that happen.

@@SinnerRust again I use it all the time while turning and so do all pro racers. Just need to apply gradually. I promise learn how to properly use front brake in a corner and it can save your life

Then the same guy decides to fly around another car right before a huge blind turn. I respect bikers and want to get one myself but some people should just not have a bike

Two weeks ago, my friend and I we were riding a bike going to a trip, and the road was in a hill,we were talking about something suddenly we slide on the road because of small pieces of stones, thanks god that the road was empty , my friend get injured in his left side, thankfully no broken bones
Am afraid the biker in the last clip caused more of a hazard than the broken down car, leaving his bike in the middle of the carriageway, could of quite easily moved it off the road then helped the broken down car!
At 6:09 the guy fell because of the poor quality of Bulgarian road surfaces. On the most if not all roads here it feels like you are riding in wet conditions.
