I bought the blue version one a year ago actually it was a birthday gift and I’ve been extremely happy with it and thank you for doing this review which I think was right on target!
You're the best reviewer online Pete. I do like the red stitching. First time I think I've differed in opinion from you . The limited run thing is frustrating to me. Often times when I see one, I don't have the money to pull the trigger immediately and need time to save. When I see limited run, I tend to just move on. Thank you for another brilliant video
Not everyone in the world needs to know what the water resistance is or where the watch is made. If the owner needs to be remembered, put it on the caseback. More watches should have clean dials like this. I like it.
Definitely plain black strap Pete, gorgeous vintage vibes nice & thin something different again but why oh why do limited editions, frustrating. Kudos again for continuing to find new brands to show us rather than the same old same old the other reviewers seem to do. Keep it up👍
Stunning. A bit outside my price range, but I think worth the money. Never underestimate the beauty that can be found in simplicity. Thanks for the great review!
Agree that the red stitching on the strap wasn't necessary, but the watch is overall pretty nice. Funnily enough, I was looking at one last night on eBay, never seen one before and then your notification pops up. You won't have harmed his chances! Talking of not spending too much money on this seductive pastime, I bought my final two pieces last week. Well, as in final for now. An Addiesdive ( who TF came up with that name..) sub homage for £18.50, and a gorgeous vintage Eterna Super Kontiki. I have to say I am chuffed with both because, in very different ways, they're both super. Happy days. Cheers Pete 👍
Thanks for review . Funny I love the red stitching it was a big plus . In regards to limited edition as a buyer and collector its a plus to have a limited edition . I don’t want a watch that thousands have .. one reason I find microbrands interesting .
Very classy watch, would be interesting to experiment with some different strap options. I like the way the look has been enhanced by the manufacture of the dial and case.
Personally I get much more of a Calatrava 6007G vibe out of it. Its a beauty for sure. Have put it two times in the shopping basket today but I said no more watches this year! 😅
Very interesting company. I almost pulled the plug on the 1st series (the black/blue or the salmon dial). Simplicity and elegance, wish they had gone slightly smaller on this 2nd version. Still a beautiful classical inspired piece.
Probably the best looking watch I've seen in a long time. Pity the - amazing looking - blue dial is not (yet?) back. Cheers Peter, hope all is well down under. PS I mean blue dial with Arabic numerals...
Very much to Dumoreau's credit, at first glance all I thought was: that's a new Dumoreau! Clearly their design and thin font in runaround fashion, with the two-sector layout, is really recognisable and that's a first big win for a watch carrying a more ambitious price point. I must admit that the original dial versions were more attractive to my eye, but that is probably because this black with red accent leans into that sporty aesthetic right off the bat. I am now doubting, too, whether the original version was also 39mm or actually smaller. For me, this watch could be smaller, but in its current guise the size too underlines sportier styling. I am 100% on board with you on the strap. The Croc is not bad looking, but it's nkt the best style for rge watch. Both the cordovan-style and the flashy red suit you showed suit this far better and bring out two more distinct personalities to this design. The case is very nicely done. The polish really highlights the intrucate curvaceousness. Again I find myself wondering if something about this case changed a little from the original, but I do remember that the original also had very lovely curves. The circular pattern in rhe centre is really subtle. On my little phone screen just now I didn't get to appreciate it, but I do appreciate the tonality between the two sectors. While it's a very good watch, I still find the price point lofty, much in line with quite a few microbrands of late. Also on the secondary market their play on LEs seems to work as sellers expect top dollar for their Dumoreau. All that said, for me this thickness should permit an automatic to be fitted and when leaning into sportiier styling, larger sizing and everyday wearability I feel that would be preferable.
@@markhammerschmidt5315 the numbers are the same, only from 60 minute count to 24hr count. I think it's a beautiful model, but calling this a mark II seems thus grossly exaggerated.
@@benjaminvis the numbers (and hands) are luminous where the earlier versions were not so yes they have changed. And a new dial variant is perfectly entitled to be called a MkII if that’s what the brand owner decides to call it!!
I really like the look of the Dumoreau DM02...The curvature of the horns; the movement decorated with Geneva stripes and blued screws. By the way, Mr. Peter Kotsa, who is hiding in the detail, really? God or the devil, without any religious or philosophical dimension? Best regards, and continue to pay attention to the little things.
"The devil is in the details" is an idiom alluding to a catch or mysterious element hidden in the details; it indicates that "something may seem simple, but in fact the details are complicated and likely to cause problems". It comes from the earlier phrase "God is in the details", expressing the idea that whatever one does should be done thoroughly; that is, details are important
Sorry but this looks like an AliExpress watch. I understand that it's not and he did something with the movement yada yada but I'm sorry they're drunk if they think this watch is worth $1,300 LOL it's ridiculous. And a very generic unsigned crown. This watch was probably drop shipped from somewhere and they just branded themselves. This is terrifying
I see it… BUT my first thought was Patek Philippe 6007g… a very budget 6007g. Not that I like the 6007g that much in the first place so maybe this watch is MORE appealing.
I think its based on the general consensus, considering the variation in wrist sizes, 39mm seems to fall in the middle. But I agree with you, my wrist size is not the next mans etc...so even an average like 39mm can be way off for someone else 👍 Thanks for sharing, cheers

What a beautiful watch. Thanks for the review.
My pleasure!
Nice dress watch. At this price point certainly better options with more heritage. Thanks for sharing.

I agree Jeff, it's always been frustrating for me too, this idea of limited watches. If you really like a watch then you're pressured into a decision

Nicely said
Applied metallic indices would be nice on this dial. Good review Peter.
I like that quite a bit. It's not pretentious, just classic. Versatile. I don't mind the alligator strap. This one ticks a lot of boxes in my book.

Love the red stitching!

I agree. I would say very much so with their first version in blue which has sold out a while back. Almost bought one.

I can assure you the case is unchanged in either dimensions or styling.
@markhammerschmidt5315 yes, I looked it up and the specs are the same. I'm not entirely sure then how this is a Mark II rather than a new dial variant
@ luminous hands and dial numbers make it the MkII.

I think itl look killer on an oxblood shell cordovan strap
Yes, that would work 👍

@@millersciencesms762 limited to watches 😂 thank you
I love thw fact that they dont flip the 4 to 8 so all numbers bottoms point to the center
Sensuality? Steady on! 😂🎉
hahaha..its a pretty sexy case
You referred to F. P. Journe vibes and I see where you're coming from. But there are some Patek Calatrava sports watch vibes as well!
I think for me the radial numerals, the way they are inverted gives me that Journe vibe predominantly
Thanks for sharing Alex 👍
Actually has more in common with Laurent Ferrier than FPJ!

A better, cheaper Montblanc timewalker. Plain black strap though.
Not a bad watch but Nomos is just a better choice at that pricepoint
Nothing wrong with Nomos 👍
Nomos is more expensive, you may get a few ladies watches at this price point but any sporty watch for man cost much more
@@DrDjDD I bought my Club Campus for 1400EUR new from Nomos

Nice. But doesn't have 904 steel, which Wise watches of Thailand offers for half this price, and arguably even nicer design.
I think you mean subjectively rather than arguably.
Nice dial. Don’t like the red stitching.
I think a black with white stitching would look better!
That would work too...👍
Can't like those upside down numbers no matter how hard I try. Everything else seems really nice though.
they say 100m water resistent - so does it mean there a screw down crown, please? Thank you.
No screw down cron here as its a manual wind.

I’ll wait for a Chinese knock offs!! 😜😅😂
Not worth the price

Probably roaming the earth to a fro seeing who he can tempt 🧐😂
The dauphine hands make it look cheap.
The biggest mistake. To make a luxury watch which looks like a clock.

Not a fan of the upside down 4-7
The red stitching is awful. Black stitching would be better in my opinion.
Looks like they skimped on the AR coating. $1250? Pass.
F.P Journe vibes? Hyperbole like that could make it tough to take your advertisements seriously in the future
