  • Thank you for clicking on this video! Today we take a ride on Mississauga Transit Miway's 2010 New Flyer D60LFR 1070. This order 1051-1072) was the second order of LFR artics and the first artics ordered for the "MiExpress" service which makes them pretty special. In February-March 2021, units 1069-1071 were repainted in the "MiLocal" livery to help with the artic shortage at Central Parkway. These units are powered by a Cummins ISL9 EPA 2010 330HP engine paired with a Allison B500R 6 speed transmission. These units feature 57 4ONE Aries seating and ride on MAN axles. 1070 is based out of Miways Central Parkway garage.
This video was filmed on route 26 Burnhamthorpe Eastbound to Kipling Terminal starting at South Common Centre Bus Terminal and ending at Burnhamthorpe Road at Central Parkway. Route 26 Burnhamthorpe travels East and West using mostly Butnhamthorpe Road to connect passengers from South Common Centre Bus Terminal to Kipling Terminal. Hey I am wondering are these buses retiring soon? These buses are almost 13 years old and most of them aren’t in good condition anymore, a lot of them have a hard time accelerating on the highway too, and I heard there will be some blue articulated buses made this year, don’t know how long these buses will still be in service

Retirement of the 2010 D60LFRs will start once their replacements arrive during the summer which will take longer than usual due to the delay in supply chains across the world and at new flyer. They will be retired this year depending on the condition of the bus.
