Jaejong of tvxq is the richest kpop idol to date. Amassing wealth of $100M. He has an unbeatable real state fortfolio and investments. TVXQ was Soooooooo big back in the days. One of the very first idols surpassing ticket sales and breaking records of most attended concerts. Theri popularity was NO JOKE.
And even they were the first group to get a Guinness World Record for the biggest fandom and photos taken. If it wasn't for them, kpop artists would still be under slave contracts and being able to leave a company until the end of it.
The group that got me into Kpop all the way back in 2007. So happy to see you check this song out. This song is such an important millstone for Kpop. Still in my playlist rotation until this very day.
Even exo now which makes me super sad. Like damn y’all are really really missing out. 2pm, Shinwa, U-kiss , ZE:A, big bang, beast, infinite, and etc etc etc. So many legendary and talented men. The music now is good but also not nearly as memorable for some reason.
I mean there are new Kpop fans that get sucked into Kpop and start discovering the OGs of Kpop. I’m one of them. I’m young but I love old music and throwbacks. A lot of other youngins are like that too. So at least some people partially experience the magic and legend that was 1st and 2nd gen Kpop 🤗.
I enjoyed the reaction and I'm glad you guys were vibing. TVXQ had 5 members due to legal issues with SM, 3of the members left and formed a group called JYJ. The two members U-know and Max are still killing it today as TVXQ.. My suggestion for the duo is 'Catch Me" , 'Spellbound" and their latest 'Truth ". You reacted to Max Chocolate about a year ago. I hope you guys react and enjoy these classics.
So my daughter just dragged me and said I have done an injustice by not telling you guys about "Before you go" . All I can say is I agree Before you go should be your next TVXQ classic to listen to.
When SM formed the group, they picked up their 5 best, ace trainees. The group split on 2009 because human race still doesn't deserve the opportunity to have these 5 gifted vocals together in a song, they made pure magic together. I've been a fan since 2014 and I still get shocked by how amazing they were. Three members left and formed JYJ, they also have amazing solo works. Tvxq remained with Yunho anf Changmin, and when SM let them leave the basement, they release awesome music. Most of the time, they keep touring in Japan and earning half of SM's income to pay their bills. People joke that the real Big 4 is SM, YG, JYP and TVXQ. 🤣 I pity who refuses to get ti know TVXQ, they are legendary.
He will never be surpassed as the visual. It's like the man is carved in marble and never ages. The perfect face body and voice. K-pop legendary visual for sure.
This song never gets old. It will always be a classic. I still listen to it (actually the entire album) on the regular. All of them are great singers, but Kim Jae Joong is my favorite of the group.
When I heard this version I was confused. People who were introduced to the song by Sarah Connor as "Under My Skin" (August 2008) usually didn't even know there's another version by a group released in September 2008. One of those cases writers/producers sold a song to more than one costumer. The story is they had contracts for TVXQ only being allowed to release the song in East Asia IIRC. The same producers did something similar with "Hot Summer" by Monrose (June 2007) and then f(x) (June 2011). Very common in the music industry as we know. Being so globally connected via the internet, it doesn't happen often anymore. I remember only one but then being part of the promo was "Señorita" by Kay One feat. Pietro Lombardi (September 2017) which was remade by VAV (October 2018).
Thank you 😍 TVXQ as 5 were known for their acapella and vocal superiority esp. Xiah and Hero they are amazing. TVXQ now consists of 2 members (Uknow and Max). They're still active until now. I recommend "Chance of Love". If you're interested in their acapella song, pls react to "Whatever They Say" 🔥🔥
The saddest thing about TVXQ as five is that you will never get to hear the original harmonies ever again 😭. When the group broke up, they broke up harrrd! Only two members perform under the original name now, and they are terrific, but the sound those five kids had can never be replicated.
@@alexKB18886 There was an intense lawsuit against SM. Three members sued the company and won. I think it was ruled that their contract was unfair, and it changed the kpop industry as a result. However, they were never able to perform on any televisions shows afterwards because of the immense influence that SM continues to have on these shows. They became JYJ, and produced albums and videos and held concerts as a threesome, but the other two members chose to stay with the company and continued to perfom as DBSK/TVXQ. I can only imagine that their personal relationship became strained as a result.
Here is some background to help you understand the dynamics of TVXQ better. TVXQ (English and Chinese)/DBSK (Korean)/ Tohoshinki (Japanese), which each are the abbreviations/acronyms of the words in each language that translates to mean "Rising Gods of the East," debuted in 2003 as a 5 member group. But, in 2010 three of their members left SM Entertainment and the group and formed a new group called JYJ -- the initials of the members: Junsu, Yoochun and Jaejoong. (JYJ is still a group and they still produce music, but because they left SM Entertainment -- one of the most powerful and influential companies in the industry -- which made it more difficult for them to promote themselves and their music. So the members of JYJ are more known as actors and producers than they are as singers now.) However, Max/Changmin and U-Know/Yunho continued as TVXQ as a duo. This year will be TVXQ/DBSK/Tohoshinki's 18th anniversary, and even now as a duo they are so talented that they have the vocal range to cover all the parts of a song between the two of them, including rap. "Mirotic is a made up word that really has no meaning, but it is derived from a play on the word mirror + otic -- the title was originally supposed to be something like mirror but they thought the word sounded better if you added otic to the end of it, (it made it sound cooler, or something.) Think of it as the words mirror and exotic combined -- that's just how you pronounce the title, not the meaning of the word. "Mirotic," which came out in 2008 when they were still a 5 member group, is a classic in the Kpop world and every new rookie group -- both boy groups and girl groups -- learn this song and choreography and almost every rookie has performed it on music programs, award shows, at showcases, etc. at least once in their career. This song, like SHINee's "Ring Ding Dong," Girls Generation's "Gee" and Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry," etc. is pretty much compulsory for everyone in the entertainment industry to know and learn the song and dance to, no matter how young or old they are. In the MV for "Mirotic" the woman is supposed to be a siren, like from Greek mythology, and she is supposed to be tempting and trapping or luring the TVXQ members to her. Like they say in the song "... I got you under my skin ..." But in the end you see how the members have broke free from her control. (Often in Greek mythology the siren, through her intoxicating love powers, lures guys to their deaths.) Also, you should know, that the "red ocean" they are referring to in the song has a double meaning -- TVXQ's fandom is Cassiopeia and their fan color is red, so when you attend a TVXQ concert you will see an ocean of red. Welcome to the Cassiopeia fandom. If you like TVXQ then you are a Cassi. Yes, TVXQ truly are all-time legends in the music industry. As an SM Entertainment group, it is no surprise that TVXQ are outstanding vocalists. Being some of the best dancers and vocalists in the industry is what we have come to expect from all of SM's artists and groups. They are SM Entertainment's top selling group, easily selling out concert tours around the world.
Tvxq or dbdk which means god's from the east , were and are the biggest legendary K-pop group ever... Most influence on today's kpop music... . This song mirotic is considered the heart of K-pop... This is K-pop at its best... This is ulitimate K-pop sound.. they were and oreety much are one of the few groups that can siiiing 3bezt K-pop singers, dance , performe live
you guys HAVE to check out shinhwa's perfect man for a tbt, shinhwa is one of the oldest kpop groups they debuted in late 90s and they are still together with the same members so thats pretty impressive
"Mirotic" was my introduction to KPop, thanks to my (then college-aged) son hooking up his iPod to my car stereo and telling me I had to hear this amazing tune that all his pals from Japan were raving about. So this was one of the first KPop songs that got the attention of Westerners and gave all new momentum to the Hallyu wave. The reason Americans know about BTS now is thanks to this song (and of course "Sorry, Sorry" by Super Junior). I had him send me a copy of the song, and it's been in various iPods, iPhones, thumb drives, and computers ever since. The only change has been when I was able to get a FLAC version to update it. Other than that, it's been in my collection for, what 12 years now? TVXQ was a massive sensation in Korea when "Mirotic" came out, and had what was rumored to be the largest fan club, ever, with something like 850,000 members. After JYJ split from the group, they lost members, but Cassiopeia is still one of the premiere fandoms in KPop. These days, my son curses the KPop monster he created way back when. That's because KPop is just about the only modern music I listen to anymore, and it's all his fault.
this song actually came out 13 years ago haha >< tvxq only has 2 members now but they still released some boppers like "keep your head down" and "catch me"
Literally one of the most iconic songs of kpop, like a Stairway to Heaven level song, everyone covers it, knows it, loves it, listens to it on the regular, and it changes the face of the genre forever. It's difficult to articulate TVXQ!'s popularity back in the day, as most of it was before youtube, social media, etc. but they were groundbreakers in so many ways, even holding some Guinness Book of World Records titles like "Most Photographed Celebrities." Kpop wasn't quite so sexy until TVXQ! came along and especially this mv (let me tell you, if you didn't notice, it's hell hot in every frame), and if you've noticed, the sex appeal hasn't gone away in kpop lol Great choice for a Throwback Thursday! I'm glad you liked it!
TVXQ was, and still is, to this day, the most vocally skilled KPOP group to have ever been produced. These guys were hitting the sharpest harmonies in a capella. Each one of them were the full package. There was a very valid reason why they were called the Rising Gods of the East.
This was my first kpop music video 11 years ago, then I went through the rabbit hole lol. All this years and TVXQ is till my favourite group ❤️ I'm so happy for this reaction video, thank you guys!
Wrong Number, Purple Line, Balloons, Hug, they had sooo many bangers and these are just to name a few. The first ever boy group I got into when I got into Kpop. Legendary for sure, and made plenty of bops worth checking out.
Oh this song will always be #1. This group as 5 will always be in my heart. They were the first group I really fell in the deep rabbit hole way back in 2006. They are simply unique. I'm so glad you guys finally reacted to it :) I haven't changed my profile pic since 2008 (it's jaejoong pic from their MIrotic) not because i'm lazy.. but those were the kpop days
Thanks for reacting to Mirotic! 🙂 This song got me into TVXQ. Sadly 2 years later, JS, YC and JJ left. TVXQ is one of the best performers out of all kpop groups I’ve seen even to this day. Vocals and dance are on point. Their concerts in Japan are so fun to watch. In case you want to check out more of their songs, I recommend Wrong Number and their Japanese releases 🙂
2:50 voice is MAX (Changmin) the Maknae of the group. He has some solo work. React to Chocolate whenever you have the chance. He has a phenomenal voice.
Also to answer your question they’re still active as a group but they lost 3 members. The two remaining members are Yunho (U-Know) and Changmin. Also this song was everywhere when it came out, even the elderly knew the fan chant. I can still recite it by heart myself 🤣.
This was the first kpop group I followed back in 2006, after the split in 2009 , I followed JYJ members(still buy the members albums). Now, I'm Monbebe/Wenee :P
TVXQ has 2 members now and you know them. You have reacted to U-Know (Yunho) at the beginning of this year and I think you have checked out Max as well. If you watched Kingdom, Max (Changmin) was the MC for the show. So still kicking it
One of the member called Xia Junsu (Pretty sure it was him doing the super high note at the bridge) He's probably one of the strongest vocalist in history of kpop idols (not including solo vocalists) Doesn't show to well in group songs but he hits incredible notes in his solos
It was Changmin, but, truthfully all of them can hit high note to some certain. Many of their song was on high keynotes and they're versatile singer individually.
Thank you for reacting to them!!! Well... TVXQ, as everyone tells you, originally was a group of 5, 3 left the group, and Yunho & Changmin stayed and keep the name. Back then and now are very famous, especially in Japan, and even at this moment they are not active in music and still have incomes. Will be great to react to them when we're 5 until now they are 2. Also, to their solo projects, Changmin with Chocolate and Yunho with Colors and Noir albums, they are considered the Kings of KPOP, also a lot of idols considered them as their role models. I'm a proud Cassiopeia. Thank you!!!
The Throwback Thursday’s that we have been posting to RUclips were originally exclusive to our Patreon. We have been releasing a couple for the last couple weeks. They are about two years old so this was way before we learned more about them! 😁. Thanks for watching!
this is a timeless bop, you guys should do tvxq the chance of love, after the other members left thats one of my favs from them, would also like if you react to jyj which was a group formed after with the remaining members in another company, they have a song called back seat which is a hit yunho is in tvxq i believe you have reacted to him before and max is still there as well (i think you did one reaction from the two of them together) the rest of the members from jyj also have solo careers now as the group only went up to 2015 also totally different group but pls do shinhwa once- perfect man is a classic, one of my favs is sniper as well
The first time I heard this song was Shinee singing it live but found out it was Tvxq look at the MV I fell in love the dance moves these guys were doing so cool the song is so good great reaction ❤️👍🏼
This song is such a classic! I hope yall also react to Wrong number by tvxq. It's such an underrated song. I heard they made the song because one of the members had a stalker that kept calling him.
One of the three members who left, Xia (real name Junsu), did some dope solo work that I still listen to: Tarantellagra, Flower, Set Me Free and Incredible. All bangers. You want some excellent early kpop aesthetics Flower and Tarantellagra are your videos.
MIROTIC IS TIMELESS SONG ❤ TVXQ still active until now, really active actually, the members are releasing their solo album too. Now we're waiting for their Korean comeback. Dont forget to listen to JYJ song too!! I recommend you to react to In Heaven, Catch Me, Something, Devil by MAX Changmin (if you didnt yet), Thank U by Yunho too ❤❤❤
another song that is still on my playlist you cant go wrong with tvxq! and theres only 2 members left in the group YunHo and Changmin the others left and had formed a three man group JYJ for awhile but they are currently doing musicals, acting and Yoochun well hes uh should be keeping his head down and just being quiet for awhile(if you, you know)
OMG! ok low key haven't been catching up with your content lately because ya'll inspired me to start a channel with a friend. ANYWAYS!!! ima need to go back and catch all that other THROWBACK THURSDAY content because i love kpop 2nd gen! this song neve fails - old school TVXQ never fails period. thanks for the reaction!
Monsta X did a cover of this song & they killed it! It is so much better than the original. There is a singer from TVXQ called Xia Junsu, you should check out his videos of Tarantallegra & Rock the World, it is good!! In his more mellow songs you can hear he has a really good voice. He has also done some plays. Also for Throwback Thursday, you might want to check out a group called MBLAQ, they were great!! Check out their songs; Oh Yeah & Sexy Beat. Fun songs like Shinee's Ring Ding Dong.
You guys actually already reacted to 2 of the members solo songs "thank u" by u-know and "chocolate" by changmin. They are still together...just with those two people
TVXQ! Tiene una gran variedad de canción y MV. Mis favoritos son: - Wrong number - Purple line. - O. - Rising sun, esta canción se pudo escuchar en una películas de rapido y furioso, casi muero cuando me di cuenta. ^^ - Keep Your Head Down. - Before U Go. - Catch me.
La primera canción de k-pop que escuché y fue primer grupo favorito que tuve a pesar de que al poco se dividió. Esa canción fue mi favorita por muuuchos años y siempre que la vuelvo a escuchar sigue siendo a banger
if im not wrong this song was banned from tv for being so sexy ... then they have to tame down choreography and also change a line call - i got you under my skin to - i got you under my sky to get play on tv wild old days
This song is still on my playlist and has not left throughout the years. It’s a classic.
Same here. Still listening to it even now all these years later.
yes, was the last happy comeback T_T
Same!! It's a must. It's been years and still in my top 3.
It never left my playlist, never!!
Same, fax
Classic. When I first got into KPop six years ago, this was in the “songs you must know category”. Still is.

they were also in the Book of World Records for having the biggest fanclub in the world.

TVXQ maybe a kpop veteran, but Mirotic is still acceptable and easy to listen to in this day and era
Classic song never gets old. It's been 13 years and I can still scream the fanchant
Sometimes I get sad because new kpop fans will never realize how iconic this group was like fml. Same with super junior and even big bang like
Yep it's depressing. They don't know and won't accept how good these groups and the music was. Iconic music. All it's own style.
Even exo now which makes me super sad. Like damn y’all are really really missing out.

TVXQ is my all time favorite kpop group!
you guys HAVE to check out shinhwa's perfect man for a tbt, shinhwa is one of the oldest kpop groups they debuted in late 90s and they are still together with the same members so thats pretty impressive
Shinhwa - Venus is such a good song.
My old dudes are the bomb!!!
there's so much TVXQ gold y'all need to dive into omg trust and believe, the discography slaps
That's because KPop is just about the only modern music I listen to anymore, and it's all his fault.
this song actually came out 13 years ago haha ><
tvxq only has 2 members now but they still released some boppers like "keep your head down" and "catch me"
This right here is a Korean Kpop National Treasure 🔥 and another song EVERY Kpop fan should have on a playlist- period!! 😆
Classic TVXQ. There are only 2 members now. The other 3 members chose to end their contract with SM Ent. Thanks for the react. 👍
One of my favorite older kpop groups. Thanks for listening 🤗💜
This song was sooooo controversial when it came it that they made 2 versions of it. This song never gets old. It’s a certified masterpiece of a song.
13 years later this song is still on my daily playlist. They’re with SM if you didn’t know by the vocals :)
This was my first kpop music video 11 years ago, then I went through the rabbit hole lol. All this years and TVXQ is till my favourite group ❤️ I'm so happy for this reaction video, thank you guys!
Classic! MonstaX actually re-recorded this song. So smooth! Thanks guys!
An all time classic. A playlist immortal song. One of the top groups of all time. Jaejoong is a kpop God.
Wrong Number, Purple Line, Balloons, Hug, they had sooo many bangers and these are just to name a few. The first ever boy group I got into when I got into Kpop. Legendary for sure, and made plenty of bops worth checking out.
You gonna love Wrong Number.
This song is legend!! Great reaction! Such good times back then--vocals were the best ever in Kpop then and none more so than TVXQ.
OMG the memories! NEVER OLD
Oh this song will always be #1.
와우 이 옛날 노래를 리액션해주시다니ㅎㅎ 오랜만에 추억에 잠기네요~ Thanks for your reaction!
So still kicking it
One of the member called Xia Junsu (Pretty sure it was him doing the super high note at the bridge)
He's probably one of the strongest vocalist in history of kpop idols (not including solo vocalists)
Doesn't show to well in group songs but he hits incredible notes in his solos
It was Changmin (Max) who did that high note.
It was Changmin doing that note.
It was Changmin, but, truthfully all of them can hit high note to some certain. Many of their song was on high keynotes and they're versatile singer individually.
Ive always loved his song Flower as well
listen to it since 2009 almost everyday... TVXQ is the best of the bests forever and enver
for me mirotic is the best classic k-pop song.
tvxq are now a duo "changmin" and "u-know"
Thank you for reacting to them!!!
I was deadass singing the WHOLE time during this reaction lmao
Ya'll have reacted to one of their later songs (Spellbound, I think) and at least two of Yunho's solo mvs before
The Throwback Thursday’s that we have been posting to RUclips were originally exclusive to our Patreon. We have been releasing a couple for the last couple weeks. They are about two years old so this was way before we learned more about them! 😁. Thanks for watching!
this is a timeless bop, you guys should do tvxq the chance of love, after the other members left thats one of my favs from them, would also like if you react to jyj which was a group formed after with the remaining members in another company, they have a song called back seat which is a hit
yunho is in tvxq i believe you have reacted to him before and max is still there as well (i think you did one reaction from the two of them together)
the rest of the members from jyj also have solo careers now as the group only went up to 2015
also totally different group but pls do shinhwa once- perfect man is a classic, one of my favs is sniper as well
The song that got me into kpop and jaejoong ofc hahaha 😂 😍
The first kpop band I followed. Way back in 2006 ? it was sad when they disbanded.
b-but they did not disbanded :(((
classic! their song spellbound is also a great song and mv.
They were all originally called DongBangShinKi (DBSK), and then TVXQ.. i believe thats how it was...
감사합니다~옛추억을 생각하네요~
Iconic. A classic. I will start a whole imaginary concert to this
A true classic, never gets old
Mirotic is a legendary song from a legendery groupe
Mirotic is a classic. It has probably been covered by every male kpop Idol.
The first time I heard this song was Shinee singing it live but found out it was Tvxq look at the MV I fell in love the dance moves these guys were doing so cool the song is so good great reaction ❤️👍🏼
my childhood . iconic & classic 🔥
Its THE unwritten rule that u do the fanchant EVEN if you're watching the MV or the live performance
Yes!! I have all of his and JaeJoong's discography. Still a fan
MIROTIC IS TIMELESS SONG ❤ TVXQ still active until now, really active actually, the members are releasing their solo album too. Now we're waiting for their Korean comeback. Dont forget to listen to JYJ song too!! I recommend you to react to In Heaven, Catch Me, Something, Devil by MAX Changmin (if you didnt yet), Thank U by Yunho too ❤❤❤
another song that is still on my playlist you cant go wrong with tvxq! and theres only 2 members left in the group YunHo and Changmin the others left and had formed a three man group JYJ for awhile but they are currently doing musicals, acting and Yoochun well hes uh should be keeping his head down and just being quiet for awhile(if you, you know)
Thank you..next please react to “wrong number”🙏🙏
And till this day, I still know the dance by heart lololol
OMG! ok low key haven't been catching up with your content lately because ya'll inspired me to start a channel with a friend.
ANYWAYS!!! ima need to go back and catch all that other THROWBACK THURSDAY content because i love kpop 2nd gen!
this song neve fails - old school TVXQ never fails period. thanks for the reaction!
My first K-pop song ever
Best group of all time !
I feel so old now... 2009... youth... Idols used to be older than me, now I could be their aunt 🤣
This is the most legendary song
this song rly withstood the test of time
Monsta X did a cover of this song & they killed it!
THIS SONG IS I C O N I C 🔥
You guys actually already reacted to 2 of the members solo songs "thank u" by u-know and "chocolate" by changmin. They are still together...just with those two people
If TVXQ debuts again, they will be the only group that can be as popular as BTS.
Please react to jyj- backseat and in heaven! They’re songs by the 3 members that left tvxq and they show two different sides of them
Younger groups still cover this song, it's a classic!
*please do a reaction vid to monsta x’s LIVE STAGE COVER OF THIS SONG*
TVXQ! Tiene una gran variedad de canción y MV.
Mis favoritos son:
- Wrong number
- Purple line.
- O.
- Rising sun, esta canción se pudo escuchar en una películas de rapido y furioso, casi muero cuando me di cuenta. ^^
- Keep Your Head Down.
- Before U Go.
- Catch me.
OMG!! Thank you, thank you!!
Kings of Asia. Period
I used to LOVE Mirotic. this was the SONG!
ah man changmin looks the SAME!
Nice reaction check out TVXQ O Jung Bun Hap
Thank you !!
Next, please react to "BE: FIRST" "Shining One".
La primera canción de k-pop que escuché y fue primer grupo favorito que tuve a pesar de que al poco se dividió. Esa canción fue mi favorita por muuuchos años y siempre que la vuelvo a escuchar sigue siendo a banger
Their live is nuts!!! Pls check their live stages especially when they had 5 members😗
Absolutely love this song!! Probably one of the most covered in KPOP! You should watch the cover by Monsta X!! They killed the performance.
So much of why they're my ultimate bias group.
also check out Wrong Number mv from the repackaged album
if im not wrong this song was banned from tv for being so sexy ...
then they have to tame down choreography and also change a line call
- i got you under my skin
to
- i got you under my sky
to get play on tv
wild old days
