  • @joec.5086

    I was wondering, can you change shift knob alone? I was considering leaving the old leather boot in. Wasn't sure if that could work.

    • @AtlasWilder
      @AtlasWilder 5 лет назад +2

      Yes it’s possible, igear.ru has done it looks a bit funny because q60 knob is thicker

    Can you just replace the knob?

    • @AtlasWilder
      @AtlasWilder 5 лет назад +1

      Yes knob can be replaced alone however you will need to clip the plastic tabs on the new knob to allow it to fit correctly with the Fx/qx boot collar.

    • @alofro6777
      @alofro6777 5 лет назад

      Actually just tried clipping the plastic tabs. Nob will not fit into 2010 fx50 boot it's just a tad too wide and the clips that normally hold the original shifter knob into place the cut outs on it are completely different then the new knob. Dont think there is anyway I can finagle it to fit/ clip into the fx original boot or I'm just missing something here lol

    Way way way too much work and potential for breaking console to switch out the cover. The knob replacement alone does the job without all the makeshift stretching and stapling. Lots can go wrong there.
