Schoolboy Q got a banger, then imo donda first listen for me was better than this album. I know it’s a collab of dolla sign being on all the song but for me it got to repetitive…
Kanye’s music has Gotten progressively more abstract in themes and story telling, now he focuses on telling a story with the music rather than words. Starting with Yeezus, he began avoiding direct storytelling; he has songs that seem like they discuss something completely different from the songs before it, but if you listen to the production, small samples, and ordering of songs, you can piece together a story, and even that pieced together story isn’t just straightforward with one meaning; he makes it very open to interpretation with the story seemingly about his love for a woman and conflict within that, but it’s also the clear the woman could be analogous for multiple things. TLOP is the same most of the story is told by the sound of the production and how the lyrics contrast that production; he hardly ever addresses the theme/story directly himself. Vultures trilogy seems like it will be similarly vague with its story, but I definitely think there is a story here. Having the hell of a life sample (a moment that marked a dark, hedonistic rejection of his previous introspection) right before a wild aggressive offensive verse that is cut off before he could continue his manic sounding rant, then following this with beg forgiveness leaves this with so much room for interpretation; Could the cut off represent the people silencing his speech, or cutting himself out of context before he could elaborate, or just him catching/stopping himself spazzing. Then beg forgiveness: is he begging forgiveness? is telling someone else to beg? what for? To whom is he begging?

Paid when it was played at the Miami listening party two months ago was one of the standout tracks. It started out with an a cappella intro that’s been cut short here and that was a really cool misdirection originally so you had no idea that you were about to get this kind of track once the instrumental dropped in. Ty Dolla $ign verse came first , Setting the tone that this was going to be a “stripper song “and then when you had Kanye come in with his funny high-pitched verse, he was referencing Roxanne, which is a similar theme and basically just doing something really sonically different with his voice and just kind of breaking up the monotony of the whole thing and then, as soon as his verse ended, the beat pick back up again, and that energy started, got dumped back into the instrumentals. By the time this song made it to the album, Those few subtle tweaks really just the delivery of it all. I think people are confused by Kanye. I think the song just feels more flat by not having the a cappella vocal intro.

This made my night! I have always been a fan of Kanye, and I understand the mental health aspect, part of him. I too deal with my own sort of bipolar, but I educate others and I don’t let it dictate who I am. I often wonder if his daughters or even sons will get bipolar since it is genetically passed down, possibly. I hope that his children really look up to his father and see the truth because I know the Kardashians have lied a lot, and during all of the turmoil that Kanye went through and the media was right there to witness it, I think the media owes him an apology, because that man went through some really hard times, and he doesn’t understand things like other people do it’s just the way our brains are programmed. I am just so happy that he is really living his best life right now Donda would have wanted this and I really feel that Kanye has a purpose on earth. I will always love and respect that man and I am glad that I stuck with him through all of this media slaughtering of him and twisting his words and how people like Milo we’re trying to use him for publicity and fame. God bless Kanye West, his family and God bless all of you reading this.
The voice is not Donna Summer as her estate did not let Ye use the original sample from her song 'I feel love'. So he instead hired a vocalist to sing 'Oooh' and 'I'm alive' both words not used in Donna Summer's song and words not used in the original sample. Personally I prefer this final version with J.Rey SOUL because her voice suits the song.
If you enjoyed Chris Brown’s feature on Beg Forgiveness, I advise you to take a listen to his latest album 11:11. Some magical performances on there, specifically the opening track Angel Numbers/ Ten Toes. Your channel is dope! Congrats!

I love that you guys aren’t as in tune with the culture yet try so hard to digest it… its a really good dynamic… when the dad said “oh yea jason october 13th” it let me know how disconnected he is with recent media and social media but he follows so well. He also has a good understanding of music to appreciate where hip hop got it ans hiw it was changed. I love your content
also it was kind of not fair not showing him the progression of kanye through albums and throwing him into the latest😂
First reaction channel that understood the meaning of “king” and didnt just assume kanye was calling himself an antisemite lmao
turning the tables ignoring the vultures hype glad yall posted 🙏🙏
The son said he didnt like the album so hes in no rush to react to it 😞
MDTF reaction is a must
Mane yo dad supporting yo fav artist is everything
Loved this reaction overall, excited to see more Ye albums.
InternetKanyeist
GREAT ALBUM! THE SEQUENCING, THE PRODUCTION, THE FEELIN' 💯 KanYe & Ty Dolla appreciate the project worth the wait
We’ve got 2&3 as well
LMAOOOOO ok
Album is literally garbage
@@dot98rage bait
@@eatmakock3646 No the album is trash. Terrible lyrics, 0 substance from Ye, mixing is off and Kanye’s flows are garbage. Burn, Problematic and Gibbs verse are the stand outs on the album
when pops pointed out that Kanye has. a specialty in pulling beats together, I was proud. I felt at that very moment he trully understood the artist\visionary that Ye is. I commend pops for sticking through that. BEG FORGIVENESS was a fitting song to kick off the transition of the album. It really felt like Ye was like sorry but I had to do that. Why? idk, but that would be an interesting interview question. You guys are always a vibe to enjoy an album too. ❤💯💪🏼
Cool ass dad dude y’all are goated for being this close with eachother
Beg forgiveness samples a song called Gabriel by Joe Goddard and Valentina
Burn samples dancing in the moonlight by toploader
Incredible
it was nice seeing your dads honest reaction to the sample on Good (don't die), refreshing to see the older generation enjoy the same music as us
This album was a huge surprise. Great tracks all around so happy for Kanye 🙏🏽
Love the reaction to Good (Don't Die). Personally my favourite on the album.
The hip hop knowledge and attention to detail between these guys is incredible
Kanye is the GOAT and this album proofs it again.
With some of the insights about references to other songs, etc., I feel like I listened to the album for the first time once again.
The sample from the shouting of North's song apparently comes from a volleyball match where a girl shouts at another "You don't want no problems you just talk like you do" but it got cut out
When Kanye did the high pitch voice in Paid, it instantly reminds me when he was on the Alex Jones interview introducing Net and Yahoo and doing the voice. Anyone else?
The end of talking where Ye is singing is beautiful
Your dad and your point on kanye addiction to pleasures after the do it song was on point i feel like how u said in his old work its him reflecting on the addiction i feel like this new album is him relapsing like hes indulging in his pleasures now😂
I haven’t watched your guy’s reaction yet but I know it’s going to be awesome! You guys a re top tier reactors🔥 (no meatriding intended)
I love dad’s demeanor and thought process
You can tell he really enjoys all forms of art
Love how yall break stuff down objectively
BEST Son/Dad Reaction channel
so entertaining and a lot of insight
I love it
Your dad is a legend! He’s a VAMP now too
The second listen on this album is crazy. is up there with dark side of the moon. It’s a masterpiece 😎
absolutely indescribable reactions while listening, especially with you and your wonderful father🔥🔥🔥
This album grows on you the more you listen to it, not to mention lots of great tracks weren’t released so I feel vultures 2 will be even better
Always good to see people’s first reaction to that gibbs verse
beg forgiveness must beg forgiveness for what it did to the beat. masterpiece chris brown as always
In the song with his daughter the hook comes from a black cheer squad. They say " you dont want no problems you just talk like you do"!!.
I’ve been waitin 4 dis 1!!! 🔥🔥🔥
have to finish the ye lineup with pops. jumping from late registration straight to vultures is criminal!!!
Talking - the "you don't want no problems" is a sample of a cheerleader for Wilkes Barr high school.
the "talking" sample is James Blake
Love both of you your respectful and intelligent
GOOD (don't die) is just so magical. Pity it's gone
This was the best reaction video I’ve ever seen. Fantastic work gentlemen, keep it up!
PAID is clearly inclfuenced by the house music in Chicago. He's been influenced by it before. "Fade" comes to mind, from The Life of Pablo.
He/his music/his production has always been influenced by house music. The main house sample from Paid is from Cajmere, “Brighter Days”.
If you enjoyed Chris Brown’s feature on Beg Forgiveness, I advise you to take a listen to his latest album 11:11. Some magical performances on there, specifically the opening track Angel Numbers/ Ten Toes.
Your channel is dope! Congrats!
Good (Don't Die) is amazing - sad it got removed from the album.
Was waiting for this. 2:16h ahead. Let's go!
Being creative and not being scared on taking risks making hit records that also have that classic feel to them and on top of that..having a real message is what makes kanye west a genius. Not many artist in music history have 10 classic albums 7 of his own and 3 as a producer for the rappers albums below..
Jay z - the blueprint
Common - Be
Pusha T - Daytona
kanye has 84 platinum songs out of 184 songs
75 Grammy nominations.. the 4th most ever kanye won 24 Grammy's in total.
Classics 🎖
Mainstream success 🎖
Critically acclaimed 🎖
All huge achievements it's super rare and kanye has influenced pretty much everyone we listen to. You can hate the man but you can't deny his one of a kind legendary career.
MIKE TYSON WAS BACKING HIM UP AT THE END OF "HOODRAT"
Kanyes like a protective mother. Hes for it for us bro
Bro stole turning the tables whole flow
that awkwardness working perfectly mixed with happiness is an unmatched vibe😭
Top of the game. Love this!!
Only place I can find don’t die without a copy right 😭😭😭
Mannnnn I’m not even a dababy fan but you can’t say “controversial people like r Kelly, Marilyn Manson, and dababy” like they’re in the same category🤣🤣
😭😭 true
Dad is going to blessed listening to graduation for the first time and 808s
I love you have the lyrics on there too, it helps a lot. Keep it up ✌🏽🔥
Carnival is one of my favorite songs. And Ty has a great voice!! All these songs fire.
The way bros face just lights up when he hears Carti, he's just like me fr
