Flamenco Footwork Challenge 1/4

The true flamenca dream is to dance like Carmen Amaya, right? 💃🏻 Then we remember, "Oh wait, I wasn't born dancing flamenco." 😢
But I always say it's not about dreaming to dance like someone else. We are all on our own flamenco journey.
👉 What's most important is our own PERSONAL EXPRESSION and it's totally possible using FOOTWORK. So many times, dancers blank out on what to do about an escobilla. They don't have the confidence or the TOOLS to create one themselves.
And it's actually easy when you learn a few key concepts, which you'll learn here in this 4 DAY FOOTWORK CHALLENGE.

PRACTICE. Use solo compás to practice- the slower the better!
RECORD. Video a short snippet of your practice with solo compás.
POST. Upload the video to the Online Flamenco Studio MEMBERS ONLY Facebook Group. You’ll inspire others to practice and get tons of “jaleos” from the others!!! If you’re not ready to record a video, then at least come visit and share your progress!!
We start with the basic Rolling Golpe technique in the palo of Solea por Bulerías.
MAKE IT EASIER: If it’s a little difficult for you, then be sure to keep your hands on your hips, abs tight, legs relaxed.
MAKE IT CHALLENGING: To make it more challenging for you, then try adding arms or playing palmas or even better, really focus on having super clean accents.

I’ve been practicing this along with the video and trying to count the total number of triplets (golpe , tacon, tacon), before the two final golpes. Can you share that number? Also, I tried to follow your count but I’m not getting it. Any help on that or am I being too literal?

you don't want to count the number of triplets. you want to understand where you are in the compás instead. watch the video and follow my counts to see how it fits. play palmas along with it if you can . ;)
