Absolutely not a fan of that "time lapse" stuff, I came across that tutorial as well today, after having started my evaluation license today as an absolute beginner with substance - and I also did not get that point. Looks like Kalyson just skipped a very vital info - not mentioning this at all. I did manage to get this working by moving substance designer into non full screen and having another window in parallel with some image of a brick wall. Now just clicking on the "pick gradient" button in the gradient editor which allows me to draw a line in the image (actually any place on the screen is captured by that line). This is converted into a gradient by the magic of substance designer, looking similar to the one Kalyson is using. Now being ready to proceed with the tutorial. @Kalyson: still not clear, what you did during that video cut - load any gradient from somewhere? or just cut that gradient operation? Would be great, if you could comment on that. @TonyTheProdigy - I hope, this is helpful for you, if not too late... :)
wonderfull work man,, thank you
Thanks! helped me a lot
Super useful! Thanks a lot!
Where did you find the gradient in 0:47?

He probably had a second monitor with all of his references on it and picked the colour(s) from there with the gradient picker.
