- Hi there! After hearing Sarah Hester's version of this amazing song (Wyndreth Bergsdottir - My Mother's Savage Daughter), I knew I had to do it too. I hope you'll enjoy my simple, but heartfelt cover.

@@AndraAriadna you are so sweet. Things already made up. Some good comes of almost everything. Even the tiniest excuse to explore a new Andra track, and so many still to be taken out of the dark chest of wonders. Abi has just referred to scarborough fair so, assuming the internet will allow it, I’m just going to give her the Andra rendition, it will be SO HARD for me to listen to it for the dozenth time. HAHA As I write this Abi is ‘singing’ Scarborough fair, amongst giggles.

Buna, Andra! Imi plac foarte mult cover-urile tale, ai o voce extraordinara! Te urmaresc inca de prin 2015-2016 cand erai la inceput de drum. Voiam sa iti sugerez sa faci un cover la o melodie de-a lui Elysion.Sunt o formatie din Grecia, foarte underrated daca ma intrebi pe mine fiindca nu exista melodie sa nu-mi placa de la ei. Ai putea incerca Killing my Dreams, Never Forever sau Weakness in your eyes. Chiar sunt curios cum ar suna.

I recorded this cover by ear, I don't have the sheet music and I don't own the rights for this song either. It's just a cover. I hope you'll be able to find what you are looking for!

The rights belong to the original artist, but people are usually free to cover the songs and credit the original author (there are some exceptions too, sometimes, though). For example, if you plan on distributing your version through streaming platforms (like Spotify, iTunes, etc.), you would need to pay for a mechanical license, given the fact that it isn't your original work. It depends on how you are planning to use it and if you are going to earn something from it or not. I never actually spoke to the owners of the songs that I've covered and nobody really does. I don't know if I've explained this right or completely, but I hope you'll understand me 😁

Love your beautiful voice and adore your accent. But I don't feel you do the message of this song justice - this song is not about beeing beautiful or perfect or tame. Quite the contrary. Would have been awesome if you'd go all out with this one.
Thank you. I did what I could, taking everything into consideration (the pandemic restrictions back then, my very limited free time due to my daily job, etc.). Nature is pretty far away from me, unfortunately. I wish I had filmed it in a forest, but it was (and still is) very difficult to film videos outside.

I didn't mean that you should go out into nature, but out of yourself. I love what you're doing and I think this song deserves that you let go of your softness and beauty and gave space to your wild side. You gently sing "and I won't lower my voice" and lower your eyes, like a fair maiden. I would have loved to see another side of you. And that's just my opinion, naturally I can be totally wrong.
It was perfect until the last verse then the layers just made it sound like a jumbled mess just like all the other versions. Is it so horrible to ask for one single consistent voice all the way through one song?
Well, this is my version and I enjoyed playing with it and adding more layers. Feel free to listen to other simpler covers. The internet is full of other covers, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for 😁 Thank you for the honest opinion, though.
