I really appreciate that you guys also present less "relevant or "exciting" cars, i.e. not only focus on German or premium/luxury vehicles. Same effort and dedication for a Subaru. Really enjoy this!

It's time for Subaru to hire a couple of designers and comeback from the 90s.
Thomas nice review 👍👍👍 Yes It's a practical car, and its perceived ‘bad’ and ‘out-dated’ design is just pure functionalism and based on what the purpose of this car will be, nothing more, but this car design fail to elicit emotional responses and attachment, maybe It's a practical but I don't like cold, boring and unemotional URSS aesthetics🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Pure functionalism kills emotions. We love Truth, Beauty and Goodness.

Drove Subaru for over 20 years. Very reliable and fun to drive. Unfortunately since they adopted the CVT, I just can’t bring myself to drive one. Presently in a 200 bhp manual BMW X1 and very happy with it. Subaru , go back to your sporty roots to win back customers

I agree. I test drove the last 5spd auto H6 outback and that felt very premium. The CVT, alas, either has a drone or that fake step-shifting here in the US.
Thomas, thanks for featuring this CUV. Was that 30 mpg mainly city or a mix? If mix, then it’s not so bad as they’ve eked out 1-2 more mpg. And yes, they have great visibility from the inside.

7 litres per 100 km for a 4wd suv the size of the Forester with a normally aspirated 2 lt engine is a great number, not even a small hatchback can achieve that!
Form following the function, no it isn't beautiful, but it is one of the SUV's that is true to its words.
Diesel with a manual transmission should do the job.

Good evening, Thomas! I don't know! Maybe it is a practical car, but man! It looks its exterior designer was depressed the time he came up with this weird shape! Then the interior designer got that same depression! Thank you for your always objective analyses! I also appreciate that you always consider the sound system in the cars that most car reviewers neglect it, cos the sound quality plays a great role today in deciding which car to buy! Cheers 🍻🍻🍻

It is a sad way for subaru to take.
Not really eco - nor fast - nor rugged - nor new or exciting (one would hope something from subaru).
So it is weird - especially with the pricetag.
I tink i would prefer a MB GLB...

The hybrid system is in many ways a Toyota hybrid system.
Well Subaru engineers obviously had access to some technology pieces but then developed something different from it
