why don't you wait for the facts before you try and start BS The Helicopter was too high 150' above hard deck when it collided with plane also controller asked the copter pilot do you see the plane they answered back yes they were watching the plane taking off not landing and sh!+ happens it was helicopter pilot error so get off your BS soap box when you don't know any of the facts learn it before you open you mouth. Everything you listed had nothing to do with this accident
Don't even get me started on our government... 🤬🤬🤬🤬 It shoud be NOTHING but merit based, as both of you poined out. Not to speak of many other possible factors. MANY prayers to all involved regardless of what anyone may think, though. It could've been any one of us up there. Scary to think of. And... not enough of words to comfort their loved ones. TERRIBLE, any way you look at it. 😪
I think it’s disgusting and shameful that he made this horrible tragedy a political attack job. People died and bodies were still being pulled from the river as he was making nasty, uniformed comments.
Trump sarcastically responded about whether he would be visiting the site of the deadly crash over the Potomac River, asking reporters at the White House: “You want me to go swimming?” If a sprinkler broke at his golf course he would fly down and demand it fixed in front of him. He doesn't give a F.
From a commercial pilot with decades of experience said having listened the communications, said it was clearly the pilots of the helicopter fault, he asked for visual separation clearance, that puts the responsibility on him to maintain visual separation. ATC asked the pilots of the helicopter multiple times, do you have the aircraft insight, they replied yes, so he believes they had the wrong plane in sight and did not see the one they collided with.
Thank you Rick finally someone that looked at all the facts and then rationally make a comment the Helicopter was 150' above hard deck in that area. They did make eye contact with a plane after the Tower ask them if they seen the plane they answered yes unfortunately the experts are saying he possibly was watching the plane taking off not landing. This information is coming from a retired Blackhawk pilot from that same base and he had flown that exact route numerous times.
Having been a professional pilot.... You all have zero clue what you are all talking about. I get that you are all reacting, but the mainstream news has the same real information you have... None. Quick breakdown... The helicopter violated the altitude restrictions in place for its airway (it is a dedicated airway for those helicopters). This was proven by the transponder data from the radar recording. It is standard (and wrong but it happens in most cases) where visual on another aircraft is acknowledged even though they dont have visual. Helicopters are not very manueverable... Not even remotely. Even a fighter doesnt have the response time to avoid a collision in those circumstances. Night vision doesnt just mean you can see. Blackhawks dont have radar... Who told you that? 🤣 The controller had the requirement to maintain their seperation. At night when flying VFR theres no such real thing as visual seperation. They were in class Bravo airspace whixh means the local controller has the reins of what aircraft do what and when. I dont have the patience to list out the rest
you re right but Trump say lots of shit , the media cant vomit talk like him . Anyway , thanks for spreading truth . I heard too , a day before the accident , a plane abort landing due toa helicopter
Agree with what you said route 4 is capped at 200ft and radar Dara shows the BH varied from 200 up to 400 ft and collision occurred around 350ft. But will say some variants of the 60 do have radar and FLIR. The HH and MH models both have that. But do not have targeting radar. But this was not one of those models. To me this seems to be pure pilot error on the BH crew for some reason.
@@tornadodreamsIt seems one controller was doing a job that normally takes two. Maybe that had something to do with it as well. Also, these controllers are working 10 hour days, 6 days a week because they're short-handed, and pilots have been complaining for several years about near misses. It seems like it was inevitable.
@@tornadodreamsthe final result lies on both the controllers and Blackhawk crews (ultimately the controller has to answer for what all happened. Controller would have had multiple warnings about the separation prior but was very late responding. Helicopter crew on NODS just amplifies the inability to identify the landing lights on the CRJ from the ambient city lights. Even without them the lights would be blending into the city lights since the altitudes were so low and it was a head to head orientation.
Those Blackhawk helicopters are hard to see at night even with the lights on it. There are military helicopters flying near the airport at all times, training and patrolling the area.
Wed night there were several plans in a holding pattern above DC. Pat 25 the black hawk had just took off. ATC warns the Pat 25 that there is a lot of traffic along their flight plane and clears AA 3130 to land as this happening the atc notices Pat 25 is getting close to CRJ 5342 and radios Pat 25 that 5342 is getting ready to land and asks them if they can see 5342...The pilot says and request a visual separation again the controllers asks them if they can see 5432 at this time 3130 is starting to descend Pat 25 asks again for visual separation... At this point 5432 is almost right beside them. ATC gives Pat 25 permission for visual separation a few minutes later Pat 25 collides with 5432...I am guessing that Pat 25 never saw 5432 and mistook 3130 as 5432 because they were not aware there was plane right beside them.
Shocking prediction: Donald Trump will blame everyone but himself for anything that goes badly in the next 4 years. Another prediction: The sun will rise tomorrow. 😂

They had one controller covering two jobs, got to save $$$ don't ya know.

Drumpf said he had common sense hahahahahahahaha
Trump is your daddy. Deal with it, arschloch.

It's totally predictable, things will go to shit when you start making hiring decisions based on anything except merit.
Yeah it was said the people on the Blackhawk were training on it. It's really sad
Those Blackhawk helicopters are hard to see at night even with the lights on it. There are military helicopters flying near the airport at all times, training and patrolling the area.
anyone that listened to Trumps press conference and still feels he should be president.......... there are no words...

There is a rumor that they were a drone style Blackhawk
I'm curious did the weather have anything to do with this and if it did why were they allowed to fly the planes at night in the bad weather
the same thing happened in the 70's with skaters.
Does the Blackhawk airplane that crashed have anything to do with the Chicago Blackhawk hockey team
I had a family members had another family member that was on the airplane I'm from Wichita Kansas I live in Wichita
Hmm dei policies were put into place at the time orange man was president
ATC is to blame
So tragic and sad Prayers for all the familys 🙏🙏
I'm a huge Trump supporter but sometimes he really pisses me off with his rhetoric! Rip to the ones that perished in this horrible accident.

Fool
I know. You usually displays such intense empathy and understanding for others less fortunate!!!!
DEI should never be implemented, and we should never have to be talking about it.
Agreed. We never should have elected Trump just because he’s a white guy.
OK bigot
Bigot.
DEI has nothing to do with this. Try using your brain.
