Thanks for sharing! It's very nice video, hi quality and ... "long walk!", haha. By the way, I am Vietnamese, so I know the streets. Well done, my friend !
@4K Walker : Street ASMR Yes, it would be nice if the world returned to its former life. I'd also love to visit Korea one more time in near future. Thank you for the comment.

@Alper Ömer Esin So did I, until I moved to Vietnam. Wonderful. Now I'm used to seeing it. Today, when Nha Trang is lockdowned, it is rather weird and unusual to see EMPTY streets. Thank you for watching.
@heinerpetersen6778 Thanks for your concern, Heiner, we're fine. The chances are low in the current environment, but we are thinking about returning, still have no long-term opportunity. I hope you managed to arrange your trip to Vietnam this year?! In any case, we wish you a Happy New Year, full of good health and fulfillment of your plans.
@@UshleppeStreet Good to hear you are fine! I just pack my packsack and suitcase and start to SEA in 5 days. Start in Thailand and then Cambodia or Vietnam. Got limited time (5 weeks) and there is so much to see.... All the best to you and a peaceful 2023!!!🌍🏞🎇
Thanks for a thorough walk throughout Saigon, it’s better done on foot rather on motorbike like others, because of the speed of walking. Btw, can you also include the names of the streets you are walking on, it’ll help to recognise and to identify the part of Saigon for Vietnamese who left the country many years ago like myself. Or you can do this by filming the street names on the store signs occasionally. Thanks a lot pal.
@thao ho Thanks for watching and your feedback. As for the street names - they are always included in the video description (see below), as well as each video is divided into chapters with the names of the current street. BR!
The problem with having the street names like you mentioned is readers have to stop watching to find the part where the street is identfied in the description, whereas if it is mentioned along with the clip it would be much in tuned with the images. Thanks for your response. Enjoy your video greatly.
@@thaoho6478 Yes, but if you hover your mouse over the bottom of the video, you see the chapters. This is a display of the real-time street names that I walk along. Without stopping from watching the video. )
@Robert Lucas Have no idea. But please keep in mind that Buddhism is widespread in Vietnam. People who practice Buddhism purify their karma by buying and releasing birds. Thank you for watching.
@Ho Saigon is quite large, quite modern, quite diverse. This is definitely not my type of city, because I fled to Vietnam from another huge metropolis of Moscow, but if you are a supporter of fast life movements, career growth, global brands in all areas of application, high-quality modern housing, then all this is present. However, one must be prepared that this is a city with a rather hot climate and frequent smog. The city is very noisy on its main highways, traffic jams are also not uncommon. In principle, everything is the same as in any other huge city in the world...
@Ho Nope. I ran away from the big capital city to a small coastal Nha Trang. Not Saigon, you are right - it makes no sense to change one anthill for another. 😀
@@UshleppeStreet I grew up in Saigon at the address 186 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, at that time it was a French villa. On our left and right was each a villa, so there were 3 villas there. In front of us was a walled government compound (another French architecture building). That street back then was mostly administrative and residential, but now they turned it to commercial!! Now, they knocked down that walled compound and built a series of shops and stores, they knocked down the 3 villas and built commercial towers. I used to walk 1 block south to attend the Le Quy Don School, and walked north 1 block to Lycée Marie Curie (I was accepted but did not attend). Weekends I biked a short ride to Notre Dame Cathedral where there was 1 bookstore opposite the Post Office (not sure if that bookstore is still there). Sometimes my friends would pick me up to see a movie at the Rex on Nguyen Hue, or a birthday party at Givral's on Dong Khoi. I'm glad Saigon is getting richer, but the old lifestyle is no longer there ... they turned Nam Ky Khoi Nghia from a residential / administrative street into a commercial, business street which is regrettable.
@@UshleppeStreet Our family took a vacation to Nha Trang only once. My father had 3 chauffeurs drive us from Saigon to Nha Trang, passing thru farming fishing towns like Phan Thiet and Phan Rang (my parents flew out of Tan Son Nhat later than evening). Nha Trang back then was also a farming and fishing town, but had beautiful beaches. There were no hotels or tourism during the war, so we stayed at a government beachfront French villa. Now, Nha Trang looks like a major tourism destination, and I wonder if they also demolished that beachfront villa to build a big hotel there! I'm happy for the people of Nha Trang, but the old innocent slow lifestyle is gone forever. My main issue is they demolished many French villas in Saigon and throughout Vietnam, and built in their places big hotels and commercial towers. Those were the best locations, the best lifestyles...
@Alexander Ramos Accidents are extremely rare given the traffic. I heard that they happen from time to time, but in 4 years of my life I have seen this on the road only once. Speeds in the city are very slow, it helps.
@Benjamin Leneham As I said, this is the roar of a big city!)) 😉 What exactly do you hear? Is this a low hum? Сoz on my side I hear everything crystal clear
@Steven I agree with you. But we need to consider the differences in mentalities. In Buddhism, it is believed that by buying and releasing such a bird, you free someone's soul, and this has a positive effect on your karma.

@@This_tub I bet you are biased. You had a bad experience in Vietnam and are now blinded by anger towards the country. But this not-most-powerful state is trying. I have seen this in my Nha Trang for years. The city changes every year. There are a lot of garbage cans on the roads and on the beaches, city landscapers are constantly working, cleaners carefully clean every early morning. I agree that the nation is still far from fully understanding the dangers of garbage, but everything takes time. Vietnam, of course, needs those who criticize it, but more than that, the country needs those who stay and do not litter. Peace!
