Christmas in July started in the late 70s, early 80s in Australia. It's usually our coldest time of the year and means we get to enjoy the cold weather customs that the northern hemisphere experiences. I've been to several Christmas in July functions including up in the Blue Mountains and travelled on a steam train. It's nice to see Carnival getting in on the fun.
The train ride sounds like it would be fun!
The dance they were doing at sailaway is the Nutbush which Aussies do a lot. I believe they hold the world record for the most people doing it at once! We were on this cruise also!
Yeah the Australians were all about this!! We (Americans) had NEVER seen it before!

Would you say the funfetti cake is like New York’s famous cheesecake ,which is cake and cheese cake? lol fun fact-I have not tried the famous funfetti cake on embarkation day. Beautiful views again
I have loved the funfetti cake for as long as I remember. I knew the XL ships didn't have it but now this one too 😭. Lots of small differences vs. a "US" cruise.

It was VERY different in the song choice etc. I think they may have me committed when I get home......don't know the day, time, season....it's a time warp. Having a blast though!
