    By the by, felt like I should clarify a comment I made: When I was referring to Dog Days and talking about it's 'Challenge', I shoulda specified that I wasn't suggesting that *completing the event* was challenging.
    Gods no- chances are, none of you failed a single run of the event. It was just as easy as something like the Index, if not more-so.
    Rather, what I was driving at was that it was much easier to get personally Game Over'd by a mob in that event than any other area of the game of a similar level range of 30-40. And that was largely down to how much they scaled back variables. Of course, it didn't matter since revives weren't a thing to worry about. But it was still something I was noticing happen to a lot of players, assuming they weren't just in a little idle hole farming the event.
    Felt like I should make that more evident, lest people look at me like "Y... You thought it was challenging to win a watta fight?"
    Anywho, cheers for watching as always, sorry once again for such a long delay between uploads, and I want to squeeze each and every one of your cheeks

      I don't think the "DE don't allow for fun" are real, however, they are VERY scared of making a wrong move and having the comunity attatch themselves to something that thye can't easily get rid off. Stuff like the kuva nukor, catchmoon, maiming strike and the like. When the comunity attatch themselves to these tools, because they are so much stronger than any other option, the only way DE can get rid of it is to disapoint everyone and nerf it. I say that is very reasonable, however the issue they have is being too easily skewed by stats. Sure, when 40% of the entire playerbase uses a single secondary weapon, there IS something to be fixed, but for example nerfing subsumed abilities based on how many people want to use them BEFORE release is a big problem. I still stand by the fact that for a PvE game, as long as the item is performing as expected and is not in a case of wild overabuse, things can afford to be a bit too strong or a bit too weak.
      A concept like tower heist would be great for DE to implement, simply because it will reward people from gathering a lot of stuff, which will make it aviable in the tower, and as long as the rewards are something that players will want to aquire regularely (like large ammount of endo, boosters, radiant relics, rare items, ect) they WILL keep using it. One of the mistake of things like open worlds and steel path is that they offer a set amount of items, many of them being enticing to at least some, but then once all items of value are obtained, people simply stop going to the open worlds and doing the activities. Eidelons offer arcanes which people crave, but the activity itself being a massive gear check tend to dissuade people away from it for good reasons. Honestly, if tower heist offered an experience similar to the old void key system, where you would work in the base game to obtain entry, and then attempt to reap as many rewards is possible out of a single run, it would incentivise people to play EVERY part of the game, even return to unused things, in order to increase their chances once inside the tower. It would drive the demand of things like rivens and arcanes upward as people would want as many aviable to skewer the drop chances in their favor, and overall lead to an increase in profit on DE's part, while aslo making use of the more "unused" assets like the TON of special enemy types and minibosses that almost never show up and are lost in the codex forever.

      - Zephyr is now solid even unmodded with the armor buff and shield rework even without her 3 (though of course having that up still remains an infinitely scaling shield againse any kind of ranged damage), don't forget to use her 2 to have heavy units fall on their asses and 4 for some crowd damage distribution/aggro negation.
      - The kama is a robust melee, I think remaining on the top 3 as best machete, still remember when I used it back then
      - The braton is boring, but considered the theoretical scenario it really wouldn't be _bad_

    This is brilliant, I've always found it interesting why DE is willing to take ideas for a new frame but hasn't talked to the community about modes. As a community it'd be great to see a push for this mode to be implemented. Good work on this Trib, hopefully it comes to be a reality.

      Because all the community cares about is how broken the rewards will be. When it comes to the gameplay of the game modes themselves the only thing the community cares about is that there's an exploit or way to make it practically AFK-compatible.

    The way you describe it, it sounds like a player would feel like they are starting all over again and go through a shortened version of their journey, reliving old memories of some of their favorite weapons, giving them a sense of how far they have come. I love it!!

    This reminds me of a highly expanded version of Zanuka Capture mission. Where all your gear is spread out in gas city and you need to find before dipping tf out. I liked the concept and I don't know if it still in with the Gas City Remake....Cause 1) Zanuka is a bloody myth that spawns once in a blue moon. 2) Zanuka is as threatening as a puppy now.

      The first thing that came to mind for me was the first mission I remember playing. It's just the start of the game where you get to choose between the Braton, Paris, Lato, and Kunai (all mk1 of course)
      I spent quite a few minutes thinking about how I wanted to go at it. More of a stealthy approach, just walking in guns blazing or a mix where I try to be sneaky but have some real firepower to back me up. That kind of choice would be really cool in this sort of game mode, especially as you go on and you have to try to make something out of the mismatched gear you have. I'd love to see something like this implemented

    I think this mode has potential though making a one time insta-death would be frustrating for the uninitiated. What I like the idea of is being able to get a new warframe every boss floor which functions as both another option to pick at the beginning of a floor and as an extra life system.
    Also you could scale weapon rarity off of Mastery rank requirement and every five floors or so when playing with a warframe pick an augment for that warframe.

      I think that the checkpoint is for that reason its something like now that you have this checkpoint you have a certain amount of lifes but not much. But in my opinion even with no extra lifes it would be fun cause that would make you want to gain better stuff and understand more abaot the mecanics so it would ask more skill from you

    I wouldn't want this to be ''the'' direction of Warframe's difficulty, I really like deliberate team-comps, even crunching numbers etc., but for that sorta thing to work as well as it could we'd need a huge rebalance to make us interact with enemies using different guns, movement and overal tactics, and really go back at looking at the roles each kind of weapon has in a mission vs. a singular point along WF's scaling curve, like in games like Halo.
    To achieve this is really hard in a game that has existed for so long, but it could see counters to tanks that drain %hp etc., just don't make any of these enemies small dots on the screen that spazz around and hide in groups like shield-drones when adding the mobile enemies we probably highly need to pressure us more.
    There's so much more to it, but I and a ton of other people have probably painted this picture at this point.
    BUT-
    MAN, I NEED this tower mode. One issue: There would be an incentive to delete gear you don't like as much as other stuff, this is why arbi bonus applies to stuff you don't have, it creates an incentive to get even MORE gear instead.
    Maybe they could figure out a nice way to reverse the situation the same way here, but much trickier than arbitrations, in large part since those bonuses don't define the mode. If they'd use the exact same logic, you'd just be left running with your spawn equipment until you finally get to a reward you have access to.

      Actually, it would probably be better not just to take from your gear pool, but from your mastery pool with that ‘was this rank 30’d requirement’. It’d fix that whole: deleting weapons bit

      @@MonstahHuntah Ohh yeah, that seems like a good way to prevent the player from running around without any drops like they would if ANY gun could drop. You do run into the problem of having very little weapon drops you have access to if most of your MR is from frames, but I feel like it'd work well. There could even be a slightly increased chance that something you actually have drops, not worth the risk keeping your arsenal small as you'll have less gunpower on average, but makes it a bit smoother.

    I think they mastered difficulty with the Duviri side of Duviri Paradox, even if the warframe side is just sending enemy levels to the moon, the drifter stuff is super fun, relying heavily on reaction speed, while still letting you have build diversity

    Love the suggestion- I know I would play that in a heartbeat.
    That said, I want to provide one thing you might find interesting about the Grendel missions... The fact that augment mods are one of the only things that can be used. Given how some of them change abilities, I imagine that could add some variety at least... but yeah, I still agree that while they certainly require strategy, there's no denying how annoying the power of customization was taken away.
    If DE sees this, I hope they treat it seriously- if not give it the attention it deserves , because I worry they might wind up ruining it in some shape or form by cutting corners still...

    Trib, they're finally doing something like this. After 3 years, Duviri is coming out with a new endless gamemode that combines different mission types on different tilesets where you can also earn what they're calling Decrees to increase Warframe and Tenno power. I firmly believe that they got this idea from you, I refuse to believe it's a coincidence. It's not exactly the same, but it's really similar and fits warframe's style.

    I feel like this is something that would be keeping me playing whenever I dont have anything else I wanna do...... Which is basically the whole time. I personally love the way that this gamemode would bring back weapons you had long forgotten about even better than Rivens (which were made by DE so we use other weapons again that are not meta *I believe* pls don't hit me if I am wrong) and I feel like thanks to you planning this for about a year now, DE could implement this relativly easy if they work together with you (which they should be doing anyway, since Warframe partners became a thing to help DE be more connected to the Community and ppl from the outside, so basically ppl that don't work on the game but play it instead, most often have a better / refreshing view of things rather than ppl that work on the same thing everyday)
    But this is obviously just my opinion and I could very well be talking straight out of my Ass. ^^

    Just discovered the channel and saw this video (Even though it's 2 years old, I'll give my input) I think it's a great concept! Although a reward( or incentive ) to do the tower should be done. For instance every 20 or 30 floor you gain X or Y with the rarity increasing the further up the tower you are. To prevent lvl 300000 mob an end could be introduced with a special reward for replayability! Also an option to go Rogue-lite or Rogue-like at the beginning of the tower could be introduced to have a higher drop rate/reward similar to Steel path. But overall I'd love for DE to introduce some other game type to use non-meta weapon. I tend to use weapon I find that looks good and often they are just purely bad weapon and makes my life miserable in Steel path haha

    I love this idea. However there are some things i would add in addition and a thing i would change.
    The ticket to get inside the gamemode should take about 8 hours to make after the first time to let the player reroll the choices of warframe, but you instantly get a new ticket to get in again if you reach the top.
    MR 8 requirement maybe, just so it has a decent item pool it can take from.
    I wouldn't put it in an orokin tower because the enemies and environment would get samey and boring. I would rather put it in Simaris' simulation for lore reasons, and so they can use any environment with any enemies. Changing what tileset it used every time you beat a boss, and also the tileset could give you a hint at which boss you were about to fight.
    I like the idea that the checkpoint is after the boss fight to keep stakes higher than normal, but I do want to be able to put on mods right before the boss.
    Other stuff I would love if weapons/sentinels were always locked behind treasure rooms that were similar to spy vaults.
    And also in addition to new rewards on reaching the top, I would also like rewards that would only be beneficial in the tower like "Oh I might have the choice of being able to choose the boltor or cestra when I reset to the start again".
    And most importantly the rewards for when you reach the top needs to have the option to choose which one you want instead of the rng bs that is sanctuary onslaught.
    Mod capacity can be removed for this gamemode, being op is fun in rogue-lites and what does it matter when you get reset every time you get to the top.
    A daily/weekly run mode!!! Something to give us a place to flex highscores of how many floors we got before succumbing to the ruthless simulation. The daily run should be harder but always give the same items and mods to everyone doing it, and having a participation reward and a higher reward if you reach the end. And daily/weekly run would not have public matchmaking for highscore purposes.
    tldr this is my favorite gamemode idea for warframe and i would be playing this all day.

      Yes, a million times yes, simaris would ABSOLUTELY *LOVE* to study how we do in these restricted situations. Like in Sanctuary onslaught but he would study anything else than always saryn prime. Im sure he wants to know how well a tenno fare with a furis, a nami solo, an astilla and wisp during a capture mission against infested. Not always seeing the same Saryn P with ignis wraith, a catchmoon and a gram prime

      FUCK that 8 hour wait bullshit I don't give two shits for your reasoning behind it, get that shit out of there. I don't know what makes you think waiting 8 hours to make an item (that you can only craft one at a time) is fun or engaging. Warframe needs way less bullshitty mobile game wait times. It already takes 4 damn days to make a warframe at minimum if you have all the materials without platinum. Other than that, Neat ok comment

    Tower heist would have different type of missions per floor , and would the enemies be all from the same faction ? Y’know like first time ya play it its grineer and the second time it could be infested or something.

    I think this is a really solid idea, one of my favorite things in PD2 for instance is crime spree's because I want to see how far I can get. Having that rogue like element would really increase replayability.

    Risk of Rain in Warframe sounds too fun! Almost too fun for DE to actually implement it innit. With the mess that SS was, this looks pretty simple to implement and I'd hope DE strongly consider it.

    I actually like your concept but in my opinion there could be some changes like the players not needing to get weapons or mods before going on the tower to be able to use them because it would give players a chance to use gear that they have never used and also the ability to switch warframes on the checkpoint floors but only to warframes you would find on the tower. So let's say you start your run with Excalibur and you end up getting a warframe for example rhino you would be able to use any of the two

    As someone obsessed with Rogue-likes/Rogue-lites, this sets my brain on fire with how much fun it sounds like. I feel like it would be possible to do this even without DE involved, just playing through the star chart, and the only mods you're allowed to equip are ones you pick up during your runs, and then use an RNG to determine what guns "drop" after each mission, based on which planet you're on.

    I absolutely adore this concept. I was extremely skeptical of how this could work design-wise when going into the video, but now i wholeheartedly agree. This mode would offer a challenge-factor without throwing players into a proverbial rockgrinder while also offering a fun and differentiated flow-of-play.
    What i love most about this is how this mode would grow with the addition of every weapon, every frame and most mods without devs at DE actually having to do any content iteration on the actual gamemode. Not to mention how a lot of mods, weapons and frames that are situational at best and rancid fertilizer at worst could really get their chance to shine here. The subpar amalgam-mods for example would go from "Eh, kinda okay" to serious gamechangers if you had a bad run up to that point.
    The only thing i could see where this could fall apart in the long run is the reward structure for the game's economy outside of the tower. The Tower Heist would motivate a lot of players , both new and old, to engage with a lot of content that they might have neglected for one reason or another up to that point and it would provide undoubtedly limitless amounts of fun. However unless it somehow offers some form of reward that is worth aspiring to in the context of what the rest of the game is structured around (Whether that is special cosmetic stuff like Glyphs, Armor sets, Titles etc. for Fashion and Bragging Rights after clearing higher floors or some weapon variants or whatever) i can see this being neglected by large chunks of the playerbase because they will play it, but it will be the ultimate island, contained to itself - Drawing from all other content in the game without actually giving much back so-to-speak
    I only bring this up like this, because it is actually quite easy to do all of this right, but DE is notoriously bad at creating,balancing and maintaining a healthy middleground between extrinsic and intrinsic rewards. On top of that it makes my heart weep that this will probably never make it in the game in any capacity. But one can dream.

    Rewatching 2 years later, I think the best scaling would be floor level ± 3. So floor 1 can have between 1-4, floor 14 would have 11-17, etc., up to an initial max height of 50 floors. And maybe after beating the 50 floor version, you can unlock a 100 floor version. And if you beat that, an endless tower where you can extract on every 10th floor

    NGL, this is a fantastic idea, but I wanna throw my hat into the ring and make an idea or two.
    Imagine a multi-stage spy mission, but instead of just stealing intelligence for the lotus to use, you use it for yourself because they're hints on opening some sort of Orokin puzzle box that was dug up. Or killing an assassin (like the Stalker, Zanuka, or Tower Heist specific assassin) that would explode into a portal on death, leading into a bonus room.
    I'm not sure if these ideas would be good by themselves, but they sound great for getting some of the better equipment in Tower Heist.

    the starter warframes could be selected by the hour by the game, like how in arbitrations you have some frames and weapons that are stronger for that run, like that, but its instead like: you have these warframes you can start with, pick and go

    This actually would be pretty fun, it's like a dungeon in a way, and I would imagine the reward behind each floor clear would be pretty nice. Especially once you get to the final boss.

    Reminds me of the Mystery Dungeon games where they have special dungeons that set your characters back to level 1 and have to re-level through the dungeon.
    ....now if only I had faith DE wouldn't cripple it with bugs, grind, or lack of rewards.

    I agree with a lot of this (and genuinely think it would be a fun mode), especially making it so that the difficulty isn't based on raw stats, but I prefer the idea of improving the enemies rather than locking ourselves (though good god do we need a nerf for ourselves). Mostly I want enemies that make you have to think and/or react. far too many of our enemies are just gun-haver, face stabber, or aoe damage fart cloud.
    One thought I had about a cool sentient enemy is one that basically has an aura (which i will call the ranviolyst), if a sentient gets a damage resistance while in the aura, the ranviolyst would gain it as well, and then all sentients in the aura would have the benefits from the ranviolyst. meaning if you ignore the ranviolyst, it will have an aura that makes most of your damage types, if not all, worthless. Thus making an enemy that you need to pay attention to.
    as a bonus have this aura actually give these damage resistances to sentient enemies that don't normally get these bonuses.

    I never comment on videos but this video has made me comment due to how this idea can actually possibly be implemented into the game. This game mode sounds solid and cool for veterans and beginners of Warframe. In my opinion the possibilities are endless.

    So stitching together the zenuka captured mission and plains bounties basicly it is an interesting idea. This is kinda the thought I had for the void open world where ur stuck as ur adult Tenno and ur weapons , frames , and void ability are scattered across time and reality having optional side event determined by the moral choices u have made threw the story adding npc or mini/mid bosses. Another idea is a moba style game mode as a conclave idea starting with a base frame that u lvl as u play unlocking mods u own as u go .... Still very much a vag idea though as balanced PvP in warframe is seemingly imposibal with out canabalizing the whole bases of the game

    What if there were random "shop rooms" that spawned with the prep floors that could have made specific modifiers. Things like fire damage increased by 5% or even a modifier that made weapons of lower rarity better somehow. This would add a bit more flavor and some unique experiences to the mode.

    My problem with the grendel missions was that they were long missions that asked you to fight end of the starchart level enemies with soggy biscuits. You were basically forced to use saryn or some other frame with infinite power scaling built into their kit.

    on another note this concept if implemented correctly would give DE some pointers on how to balance things: X frames reaches Y floor while others struggle to pass Z floor which would mean a buff for those frame is in order

    There is a fantastic way to add difficulty to all game modes. Just make all enemies more complex. Give them more special attacks, full damage type immunity, and having to attack only specific areas and if you attack the wrong one it will make them stronger, the problem is not that we are too strong it's that the enemies are too weak

    I really, really love this idea. I hope DE see's this and takes what you've said seriously. I want to go back to a time where failing a mission is something that can realistically happen, rather than it being a super rare occurrence. I want this game to actually require thought and strategy.

    holy shit, an actual good idea. havent seen one of those in the wild for many moons. no joke if this came to warframe i would grind the living shit out of it, the randomness would be so much fun but 1 thing i think tower heist has to add, intensive to play, dont get me wrong there is already a lot of it, i mean like a new reward. something you dont already have, like cosmetics thats giving to you for doing something, like how ephemeras was first shown, for example if you reached the 50th floor you would get a armor set saying "hey i went to level 50" or a syandana at level 100 or a new animation set thats giving to you for completing something, not just some rng bullshit, the reason why i suggest cosmetics is lets be honest, "fashion frame is engdame" has some legit merit to it, people do like going out of their way to get new flashy shit, a really good example were the emblems in cod mw2, people wasted months getting the really rare ones. so this idea of yours is fucking brilliant, all i am saying is allow the players who do play it can earn something saying they did it. if you do that then this would be hands down one of if not the best gamemode in warframe

    interesting idea however i would also suggest a way for the player to ban certain weapons because there would be some i just wouldnt want to play cause their not fun, braton even as mark 1 would be fun but say the heat blade wouldnt be as fun and since their put into tiers anyways it would be nice to weed out the less fun options
    also an interesting and well implemented rouge-lite concept is from crypt of the necrodancer, every run you can find diamonds but each time you go back into the crypt the diamonds disappear so you can have i duno "void nuggets" that disappear each time you re-enter the tower and can only be used for things related the tower
    (the janitor in crypt of the necrodancer can remove items and weapons from rotation for diamonds and the diamond dealer can let you bring an item into the crypt for diamonds as well so you always have a use for diamonds)

    An idea for some rewards might be vaulted relics or just vaulted items (without the need for the relic) amidst other "evergreen" rewards. I saw in another comment that there could even be a currency system attached to this mode that is similar to the nightwave stuff. The farther you get in the tower, the more currency you get, and the more things you could buy in the tower shop. I would definitely play this mode. Maybe even have it available as a solo only experience? That way it bypasses the host migration bit of when host dies, the others aren't screwed over when they leave.

    I love the idea. Maybe weapons could be grouped into tiers and higher tier weapons are more common the further into the tower you go. If you don't have access to enough weapons within a tier, some default weapons for that tier can be made available.
    I do think you should be able to re-forma your weapons and frames upon getting them in tower however. Maybe you get to forma them up to the same number of forma you've invested out of tower.

    I feel you could spice this up even more by adding set boosts E.g. being a full stalker set could grant bonus damage or something along those lines, and a full set of Corpus weapons would make a shield drone follow you, but I feel it would add more to a run and make people more interested to see how stalker set would work with this mod,ect ect

    They did something similar to this in Final Fantasy XI (the MMORPG).
    In Treasures of Aht Urgan you would enter a tower with like 100 floors, and upon entering all your weapons / abilities / spells / and armor were locked out. Killing enemies would drop unlocks that could only be used / looted by one player.
    So you had to strategize. You'd start off killing stuff bare handed, so you needed Monks. The first spell unlocks would goto healers. First Armor would goto Tank roles etc.
    Edit: Had to look it up.. long since retired from FFXI. It was called Salvage.

    This tower idea seems like a lot of fun.
    Edit: Highly unlikely they would be able to do this in WF though.
    The way the WF engine loads data, weapons aren't globals, it only loads the loadout each player brings in, so loading everything in your arsenal would clog up a lot of memory.
    Depending on your PC you may notice a slight pause whenever you're entering the Arsenal. Yah. That.
    This amount of memory hogging is why the Arsenal's use is generally restricted within the game to a few specific areas.

    This I could be bothered to grind on. As long as they threw in a decent set of rewards, either cosmetics, new weird mods, and maybe the full catalogue of arcanes( Seriously, I loathe Eidolons and Scarlett Spear is probably not coming back again) I could get behind this. It would also be cool to have ways for players to select certain Gamble's at the start of a run to increase loot or score or something (Refer to Hades pact of punishment for inspiration). Also the mode should have an eventually end after saying, "I'll run this many floors." Really cool idea!
