Bungie really just goes so hard with these raid boss themes. Atheons theme, Last stand, Eyes up, Keep of voices, sanctified mind, Look within, First Disciple, and this. They’re all bangers
Ok everything else is very true but Atheon has Vex tones and the Guardian motif for an OST, nothing from VOG comes even close to any other raid tracks.
@@Bracus.Reghusk how is that recycled content? you're REALLY reaching here. its just his name. not like they brought back his model or repurposed his encounter mechanics/room lol.
I love how the music team went THIS hard on the theme for a _raid lair_ boss in a _minor expansion_ I mean this sounds like music for the final boss of Destiny or something, especially with the Guardian leitmotifs thrown in
Music team went hard for it because this is probably the best raid boss in Destiny history. First time they made it so basically everyone in the group had to do something.
3:27 I will never forget the first time I beat Val Ca'uor. The rush to get all the balls and throw them to him and especially when Calus shouted "Let him die!" at around 3:38 were one the most epic moments I experienced in a raid
ikr this shit goes hard and its a theme for not even a fucking higher power paracasual being, its literally just a theme for a red legion commander trying to take over the leviathan
Funny how in retrospect, it's _Calus_ who's the traitor to the Empire.
Isn't the irony delicious?

Ah, Val Ca'uor. You went from one of the hardest raid bosses in destiny to a taken scrub absolutely bitched by Xivu Arath.
And for no reason, recycled content is so bad
@@Bracus.Reghuskliterally only his name (and in the lore his soul) was re used.

They turned my man into a seasonal mission boss nahhh
not even lol he's a MINIBOSS

Honestly one of my favourite raid bosses. Wish he had better story setup however. The theme is similarly one of the best in Destiny imo.
I wish we got a full on military Cabal raid. Unfortunately seems like its too late now.
2:01-2:23 Inner Light
2:34-3:02 Guardian
3:05-3:16 Be Brave
They really made the Destiny version of Duel of the Fates for a raid lair of all things
2:34 (mainly the 2:43 part) was always my favourite part. 2:24 is when the track really picks up for me.
Bruh, I wish this would be playing in the final battle against The Witness.
Big "Duel of the fates" vibes at the start
The most misunderstood raid.
Half this track is dark souls and a banger! The other half is a Banger!
This should have been a Ghaul raid tbh
3:15
idk why but it always reminds me of duel of fates when i hear this theme
Ok but that part at like 52 seconds gives me an image of a cabal invasion.
We have bungie so much flak for Year 1, but looking back I'd kill to play any of the Leviathan raids again
ight but like 1:28
What bungie employees hear walking up to Pete Parsons office
i wich destiny would make another cabal raid
This is legit the best raid boss music. I think oryx is second
Counter point rhulk
@@dagrimgamer43 I think rhulk is only good once you get to 3rd or 4th phase, but you never get there since he's so easy to 2 phase nowadays.

Riven is best no questions asked, but this is still really good. Wish i was around to play it.
Nezzy and rhulk and axis beg to differ
