You're genuinely ignorant if you think the bills get good ref treatment. All you have to do is watch the game to see you're wrong. Why we watching highlights and thinking we know the game? Refs missed a *blatant* defensive holding in the endzone which took away points from the bills
@Janky Rondo, You are doing a great Job. We are building a New Outdoor stadium because the Weather is also part of the Buffalo Bills identity. A lot of NFL teams Hate playing in Buffalo in December. Bills Mafia love the Winter. Go Bills!
All Bills fans know, not only is the snow part of our home field advantage, but our field is positioned strategically so that the way the wind gusts come in off the lake and get caught inside the stadium, is also an advantage. Our new stadium actually has about 70% of all seating covered with heat plus we will have a real grass field in the new stadium.
New stadium will cover most of the seats and the way our winds are set up off the lake, the away team will have to deal with it.... Field is supposed to be real grass with a heating system and we get really heavy snow.... the roof will not last after a couple of real bad snow storms.....
3:30 For every inch of snow Bills Mafia obtains the following buffs: +30 Beer Muscles +5 Warmth +500 Crowd Noise +200 Trash Talk 50% reduction of ability to eat ass
The amount of snow that area gets when there's snow would make it so the roof would collapse like Minnesota's roof did a few years ago. And then we'd be playing in the old stadium anyway. At least with the new stadium, there'll be a heated turf to melt the snow and a new drainage system, and there's a semi roof to try to mitigate lake effect winds. :D
We make an outdoor stadium the same reason the Chicago Bears and Greenbay Packers have outdoor stadiums, the bad weather is to our advantage. When the Dolphins have to come to Buffalo in December, it is almost a certainty we win. Playing teams that are used to nice weather or a dome in the snow will always be in our benefit.
A dome isn’t a great idea if it’s gonna have 6 feet of snow on it. Biggest issue is the wind in Buffalo and the stadium is turned a different way and structured to minimize wind.
Born and raised buffalo resident. That bills vs 49er's game is the reason its gonna be an outdoor stadium. Some of these teams spin out after seeing a snow flake. The new stadium tho is gonna have covered seating. The bills organization is probably tired of outsorcing fans to come in to shovel snow out of the seats so its a bit of the best of both
Something I think the Bills organization has done really well is develop a lot of their players. The coaches' in-game decision skills are occasionally lacking but their outside game work is fantastic in skill development and culture. There are a bunch of players on this team that seemingly came out of no where, but they didn't, this is their 2nd, 3rd, 4th year on the team and they're just playing better than they used to. Cook, Shakir, Johnson, and Josh Allen are prime examples. It doesn't work for everyone, but in general, they are good at coaching up players, plus the locker room is good and the players seem to genuinely WANT to play hard and win for their teammates and the fans. Our new stadium doesn't have a roof because football is an outdoor sport! Real men play football outside. Kinda kidding, but I think it is a point of pride for the city. They handle the cold and the elements all the time, and so does their team, so if another team can't handle it then they can just take that L on the scorecard and go back to Florida or wherever. They're taking steps at the new place to make fans more comfortable but still keep the game outdoors and make sure everyone remembers that it's still Buffalo! They were trying quite a few different types of plays with Curtis Samuel through the season and a lot of it just hasn't worked. I don't know if the players haven't figured out how to disguise or run those types of plays or what, but for the first half of the season he was getting a couple looks per game and it seemed like every one just ended in a 2 yard loss or worse. It was so bad that I told the coaches (through my tv screen of course, as one does) to trade him or let him walk before the deadline. But if they figure out how to work him and and make positive plays here at the end of the season, I'll eat my words, I'm ok with that, as long as it's not dragging us down. Thanks for the video, Go Bills!
the thing with the snow is that the games get cancelled bc of traveling conditions to the stadium so it really doesnt matter if we have a dome or not plus everyone loves going to snow games
Bills fan reporting in. Put simply, we're making a new stadium because we've refitted the old one so damn many times, and because the original stadium was built in 1973. It's 52 years old. It's gonna go for one more rodeo next season, at which point it'll be 53 years old, and then that'll close the curtain on it. Also because we know that the winds and the cold play to our advantage come December and January football, and we like it that way. :) Congrats on your win, by the way!
Yep, I went on a stadium tour about a little over a year ago and they said part of the reason for the new stadium was that the field was getting to big for the current stadium
Well, the reason we are building a new stadium is that our current stadium is 50 years old and structural engineers are sayign the upper deck will be in danger of collapsing in 10 years without a rebuild. As for why we are building a new open air stadium, the team likes open air because its a competitive advantage over many warm weather teams. The city/county want an open air stadium because they save 1.5 billion on construction costs. The other problem with a covered stadium, is that it doesnt change the weather in the rest of the city. If its snowing enough that the open stadium is a problem, its also sonowing enough that the roads are closed and nobody can get to it.
They let us season ticket holders vote on roof or no roof. Over 70% voted no roof. The other issue is that to build a roof capable of holding the amount of snow we get would’ve added over another $1.2 billion onto the cost. The other thing is, the games that we had moved or postponed wasn’t due to the stadium not being clear. That’s never been the issue. It’s been roads coming into the stadium being blocked and in a state of emergency. We had over 10 people die in a snow storm last year just because cars couldn’t move and they couldn’t get medications they needed. A stadium with a roof does nothing to help people not being able to even get to the stadium. People that don’t live here don’t understand how insane the snow can be
Them boys in Buffalo don’t get cold stg🤣 I’m from MOCO in MD and I went up for the buf and pats game and it was 5 degrees my boy they just had jerseys over a hoodie and a beanie, I popped out in like 5 layers bro💀
Lamar has played in 10 games where the temperature was below 40 in his entire career. Game temp will be about 14 degrees. That and 12th man spells all Bills.
Bru, at a bills game if it snows and the bills score, be prepared for the blizzard Causs everyone and their grandma is picking up snow and chuckin it. Its customary. TmScrew a dome. What i HATE tho is their still using turf like gross. Shoutout from Buffalo bro!! 🐃🏈
So many dead takes. It's Allen who's the reason you know their names, on top of their own efforts.
We like the snow, "when it's too tough for them, it's just right for us"

2. The owners basically didn’t want to pay extra for the roof of the new stadium 🤷🏾♂️

The amount of snow that area gets when there's snow would make it so the roof would collapse like Minnesota's roof did a few years ago. And then we'd be playing in the old stadium anyway. Bills share a division with the Dolphins. They can't play in the snow. That's an instant win every time they travel to Buffalo in December. : )
