Honestly I wasn’t too big of a fan of ‘Die Lit’ when it first came out, it grew on me months later. I then attended one of his shows in November and I started to like it even more to the point where I HAVE to listen to it everyday. So in conclusion, I feel like the songs on there are more for the performances that come with them; if that makes sense?

As someone who hates Playboi Carti Die Lit was actually good. I say this because for once I didn't see Carti as ruining anything, and that's true for the entire length of the album! His slurred, whiny voice that I hate so much genuinely entertained me here and I would rather listen to Die Lit than some albums I consider decent EDIT: I definitely agree that people describe Die Lit as some Shakespearean thesis of modern music for reasons I'll never see, but for what it is it's still a pretty good album

Though a lot of the songs on Life of A Dark Rose sounds the same they all have his own voice and style. The hooks were amazing and I can’t find a bad one although many of the verses can be mundane and boring songs like Nowadays and the clique make up for it with the vibe and very mellow beats. Not dissing but though Skies needs to branch out to other styles so all of his songs don’t sound the same, this album is one of the albums I can listen throughout and be entertained

Though a lot of the songs on Life of A Dark Rose sounds the same they all have his own voice and style. The hooks were amazing and I can’t find a bad one although many of the verses can be mundane and boring songs like Nowadays and the clique make up for it with the vibe and very mellow beats. Not dissing but though Skies needs to branch out to other styles so all of his songs don’t sound the same, this album is one of the albums I can listen throughout and be entertained

dad jeans I simply think you’re listening to it the wrong way. We have a tendency to focus on one thing in a song- the lyrics, a guitar, a synth. You can’t do that with carti. You need to focus on the whole sound, and- in my opinion- it comes together perfectly. Seriously, listen to fell in luv

DIE LIT is probably the most memorable "trendy?" album that stuck with me n grew on me alot. I m see growth from the 2017 selftitled album. it's something to put on n just have fun. respect ya opinion more. hope 2019 blesses us with more music.
I can definitely understand where you're coming from here. All of the albums you named here I personally thought had atleast one good track on'em though lol. Most of the intro tracks for these albums were good sounding to me. But the rest of their body of work was lackluster and unfulfilling. Great list here, Shawn! Merry Christmas man.

I really enjoyed life of a dark rose, i completely understand how it can seem repetitive and skies drowns his voice in auto tune. But i just love all the beats and the way he delivers in his verses

I don’t think ‘Queen’ was so bad. In fact I thought it was an improvement from ‘The Pinkprint.’ The production if anything was solid and I’ve never had much issue with her as a rapper. My biggest qualm has been that her music feels somewhat too juvenile and...trifling for someone of her industry stature and age. She has a lot of bops but no outstanding albums to me
