Love the review. Most important thing for me personally right now is durability and cushion. Playing outdoors during the summers has begun to take its toll on my joints and my bank account because of having to constantly replace my shoes.
I don’t think cushion is as important as your form. You have built-in shock absorbers such as ur calves. I think training those muscles is better in the long run.
@@imjustariceguy great point as im inthe same situation as tanner. My xdr shoes barely lasted 20 hours of playtime and the phylon is bottomed out. I started having knee pains. I guess i should work on my form more
@@imjustariceguy I agree with you to a degree, as when I play indoors during the winter, I don’t experience the same issues since hardwood is more forgiving than the pavement. Always looking to improve and continue hooping!
Yeah the gastro- soleus only will do so much- the plantar foot is exposed so much in hoops and that muscle compartment can only absorb so much- the tibia and femur end up having to do the heavy lifting a lot especially in high arch players
Thanks Doc! Good to know these other brands, other than the one with the swoosh, are getting a review they deserve. It's good to have another option with the same or better performance and within budget. 👊
Loving the reviews on shoes outside of the so-called mainstream doc. Ive been trying shoes from 361 degrees and theyve been so plush. I hope you get to try more shoes from chinese brands, since theyve been the ones to push boundaries imo technologically for shoes. Ive been using the 361 degrees kyranbek 2/ kontrol 2. They also sponsor dinwiddie and Aaron Gordon who has signature models from them
Wooow was just looking at these earlier they were the only pair available in my size (there are barely any bball shoes on shelves in my city right now!). Thanks so much for this review i brushed them off but now will seriously give them another look!
THANKS DOC! for this review, I've been playing on my gh3's for a month now, all the things you've said about the sneaker is a 100% true, I've experienced it all!👌💯
Finally got mine, on sale for just $90, man this fits my game soooo well! Thanks so much again, your reviews on these and the STG (as well as kd15, Luka1, aj37, and the zion2) helped me make my decision especially buying online. Can’t believe im so happy with these and they are the cheapest. Your work is much appreciated!
Great video as always. You are the "go to" guy wrt tennis/pickleball shoes. So the question is this. For a pickleball player whose knees are beat up would this shoe be the best replacement for the ultra comfortable Nike Air Zoom GP Turbo. The Nike AZGPT is super cushiony and the easiest on my body but is getting hard to find. If these aren't a good or the best replacement I'd love to see a video on the most cushiony shoe for hard courts (i.e. tennis/pickleball) as the replacement for the Nike AZGPT. Thanks Zach.
Doc you got me again!!! I hate you in good way, hahahaha!!! I got my New Balance Two Wxy version 1 because of your reivew and now my Anta Hayward 3 just arrived and this is all your fault. But all your point of view is really on point and I think that's what separates you from other shoe reviewer (no disrespect to them because I also watch their review) Thank you again for your review and I know I will enjoy playing with this Hayward 3 just like I enjoy playing on the New Balance Two Wxy version 1.
Hello,i ve received these shoes yesterday and when i put them on everything was fine ,but soon, when i was just walking in them i felt something like my sock folded inside of the shoes, but everything was ok.then i took off the insole and saw a big bump in the forefoot.and according to the sectional view, nitrogen foam got out of bounds and created this bump.can you please help me?
IMO they are similar to Nike. They run TTS but the GH series is narrow fitting compared to KT & "Shock The Game" series which are more generous. Anta has the least amount of fit variability between shoes models among the Chinese manufacturers from my personal experience.
Loving the videos, I have a possible request, I was wondering if we could get a review in the li Ning way of wade 808 2's? I'm hearing incredible things about this shoe, but I trust your opinion and since I'm dealing with ankle problems, I want tk know if these shoes will be alright for me. Plus they seem to be the big buzz right now
These kids of shoes are good with good stability! If you want to play defence like Giannis Antetokounbo the Freak2 for defence I think will be amazing!!! I only tried them at home and sold them because of size!🙃
Would this shoe be ideal for people who stub their toes often? I usually go a half size up with bball shoes to prevent this, but this of course gives my foot more room to slide forwards and back (losing some responsiveness). Would love to hear your thoughts on this, thanks and love your content!
The GH series runs TTS but are narrow fit wise. I wouldn't go up a half size because the ankle harness straps have very little play! Less than half inch between min & max tightness. You not going to achieve good lockdown if the straps are too long. They do work by pulling the tongue & your foot to the rear of the shoe. Stops toe jamming too!
Can we get a video about a shoe that is like a bearfoot shoe but works for basketball maybe something with bit of impact protection zero drop or just low to the ground with a wide toe box so my feet are not squeezed A lot of people are looking for something like this but there no videos on it if not I would appreciate if you could respond and give me few shoes that fit the description thanks
There isn’t anything of any real quality that I know of that fits that description that I’ve tried yet - I’ve seen some new stuff recently but haven’t tried it yet

Thank you for doing a review and noticing my comment last time because i have a gh3 shoes♥️♥️
Can I ask when you’re going to drop the LeBron Ambassador 13 video and the LeBron 20 video?
Anta is just killing it! Underrated brand!
Doc, are the shoes comfortable for wearing all day casually?
Can I answer this? Yes sir you can wear them casually, the rubber outsole is durable for outdoor hooping.
@@arj3030 yes, but can I walk around all day in them (let's say about 8000 steps) and not complain about my feet hurting?
@@RawBe3f it depends if you've already 1. Broken them in, 2. If you are used to walk around in basketball shoes.
Then you'll be fine.

Where’d you get it for this price?!?!
Thanks for the review buddy. Do you think the GH3 Martini translucent sole will be as durable? And how about traction wise?

I’d say these are prob the closest out there ATM yeah, good observation
Thanks for the review doc, was wondering how these would perform seeing that it's very functional with no gimmicks.

Ante KT8 next please ♥️ could be the most interesting Basketball Shoe this year 🎉
Love this shoe, I have it happy you reviewed it. Thank you.
great review. How does Anta sizing compare to Nike (I haven't ordered Anta shoes before)? Thanks.
Hi I own a pair, they're true to size but if your foot is a little wide in the arch they might be snug in that area but overall great shoe great fit.
IMO they are similar to Nike. They run TTS but the GH series is narrow fitting compared to KT & "Shock The Game" series which are more generous. Anta has the least amount of fit variability between shoes models among the Chinese manufacturers from my personal experience.

A year late to this party, but was able to get these just today for $45 😅
They don’t sell in my size. My foot is 12inches or just over 30cm.. All I can find is a 46 EU. Any idea where to get a bigger size?
These or the two wxy v1?
Can you do Anta celestial body 5.0 the pink one Thanks

Update: Durability is a problem. Sole separated and was playing for like twice a month. Stability is superb, those harness are like magic.

GH3 vs WOW 10 ?
Toss up
Doc tennis ?
Looking at the tread, this could pass as a decent shoe for tennis. Maybe a little heavy like some adidas shoes
Yeah just as good as most out now if you don’t mind weight
Try kd 7
Bron 20 when
wow these are several months old...the gh line is a good looking line...but i think the gh2 looks best
Huge reason not to buy: can't find anywhere
Try Famuji sneakers
Sadly it seems this is not wide feet friendly T_T
