  • It's been one year since the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan. The country is facing a severe economic and humanitarian crisis, and there are growing security concerns.
The US claimed two weeks ago that it killed Al Qaeda’s chief Ayman Al Zawahiri in Kabul.
But one of the most significant issues in an Afghanistan under the Taliban is that girls are barred from secondary schools in most parts of the country.
Our South Asia correspondent Yogita Limaye spoke to Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Taliban government.

The issue is that the definition behind those words can differ in perspective based on how conservative they are. Education can span from primary to tertiary and some may think tertiary education is unnecessary given their assumption of the conservative roles of women. And their assumption build from their previous experience from a conservative teachings or communities.

Lets have a look on opinion of prophet about women he is clearly calling them half minded and deficient and also seeing menstruation as some sin commited by women which leads to deficiencies . Hats off to all the muslim ladies are still in this cult after knowing all these things... Sahih al-Bukhari 304
      Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:
Once Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) of `Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion."

Besides this it´s a duty for men and women to keep harmony and love in their families alive with all their abilities and the help/blessings of Allah Allmighty. This does not mean that this is more easy for Muslims to accomplish than for other people. Taliban not hurt women by violence. They hurt them through ignoring. It is way to unsafe to even question them in the question of 'opening' schools. There have been a 'chain' of 'carbombs' detonated near schoolchildren and it is yet to conclude if this is 'on purpose' or by accidental discharging from screaming young women and or 'making contact' whereas it occurs quite often having a 'discharge' from rubbing a balloon against hair, wool and such.
Also facial recognition software left behind by the Americans and access through relays will solve this problem.
There was a carbomb near the Kabul Airport that detonated in a such way.
    Dont question them on this.

Safety and danger are things you can’t prevent 100% a lot of girls and women get raped and abused at home too what do they do to prevent that ?? Education is a very important thing as it helps construct society as a whole. Educate men and women on how to live together in a society:
Women in Islam are allowed to:
    Work
    Own businesses

    Consent to marriage
    Be apart of society

Choose whether to be in polygamous marriage

Hello, In Islam, education is very important. Men and women both are required to learn about Islam. Other than that, boys and girls need other types of education as well. If a man gets sick he needs to go to the doctors. If there are no doctors because noone had education, what will happen to the man? If a women is sick and has to go to the doctors what will happen to her. When people get extremely sick they stay in hospitals and it would be better if a male has a male nurse to bath or check him and it would be better for female nurse to bath and check a female patient. Engineers are important to make homes, roads, bridges, medical supply, etc. So these are just few examples, on why both girls and boys need education.

Also who are those "scholars" that he mentioned because as a Muslim myself I don't think that he should believe those scholars over the literal teachings of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) because many of them interpret the qur'an and hadith as they like to support their political views and their kings which happened many times in history of Islam and other religions and that's probably what the Taliban is doing so they can rule over people with power and use religion as an excuse.

They need George Bush and Obama to fund the girl school. Send the Taliban to Guyana. Guyana has about 50% of Taliban families.

Nisa, Ayat 34-35) in KURAN === Men are the protec-tors and maintainers of women because Allah has made one of them excel over the other, and because they spend out of their possessions (to support them). Thus righteous women are obedient and guard the rights of men in their absence under Allah's protection.58 As for women of whom you fear rebellion, admonish them, and remain apart from them in beds, and BEAT them. Then if they obey you, do not seek ways to harm them

      @@21erkhan21 sahih bukhari's tafsir :
Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband’s] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand.
      Yusuf ali:
Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband’s) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all).
Of course you have to use the tafsir that has words such as: BEAT,ADMONISH etc. To support your view. And yet you prove nothing.

@@21erkhan21 you're actually right this is how modern Muslims practice Islam they follow the Quran literally
You can't just read the Quran and follow what it says literally, this is why "Tafsirs" exist because the Quran can easily be misunderstood
