Oh BTW. I took your Black Friday video purchased 3 of these units. My kids loved them for Christmas. I bought myself the solar panel also. It was more expensive than the unit w/discount code. But I’m happy to see your review. Sent it to the kids. They are 30 something boys.

To answer your question, yes I'd be interested in seeing the progression of your bugout setup. Your info and approach are always good common sense, and I'd love to see how you go about this project. After all, all info is good info. 😉

Nice review! I once bought an item at Walmart that does all of that; accept no solar option; plus it could jump your car & inflate your tires! I think it was 500W; someone stole it! I don't remember the brand; but it was only $100 a couple years ago.

Sorry to hear that. I 've had a couple of those things over the years. They are pretty nice, but mine didn't last to long.

ELB has become my favorite lately for rechargeables. With a propane wall heater that has an electric start we use a 500W 288WH UPS Power Station in winter power outages. For ours it runs the heater electric start and fan for 3 days on a full charge, and the unit heats the whole house. It can be in use while charging from a solar panel, but I plan on getting a second station so we can rotate. Thankfully the frequent power outages here usually get fixed within 2 days, but you know...This little unit looks great too.
We can plug in a propane hot water on demand unit as well, and that will run for 20 hours, so we just plug it in for quick showers and dishes. When the power goes out often it's really nice to have hot water.

Sure, build it. It's better to have something and not use it, than need it and not have it. And you certainly don't need my permission or approval. :)

The only concern is the built in battery.
    How long will it last?
It would be crazy if it fails during winter emergency.

Trying to find a solar that will be good for a sub pump... any suggestions?

    • @ChefPrepper
      @ChefPrepper  7 месяцев назад

      Hello Pinkeyswear,
      Some questions:
      Is the pump 110V?
What is the Watts rated at?
What is the start/surge wattage required?
Will you be using the Solar Generator for the pump only or for other things as well?
Will the pump be "on" all the time as in a basement?
Or will you be taking it various places for various uses?
Not trying to confuse you, but the answers will help you find the right solar power kit.
