The House of the Seven Gables is the 2018 stop-motion animated adaptation of Nathaniel Hawthorne's classic novel, directed and animated by Ben Wickey. First released as Wickey's CalArts thesis, the film has gone on to win several awards, including the Best Adaption Award at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival and the Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Award for Best Short Film of 2018.
The film stars David Frankham (101 Dalmations, Tales of Terror, Star Trek, Return of the Fly) as well as Jonathan David Dixon, Joseph Stilliano, Phyllis Wickey, Lily Withington, and Jim Wickey.

I was once the Education Supervisor for the House of 7 Gables Historic House Museum. Been a while since I moved out of Salem, but I just discovered this & I have now decided I love this version of the Story that made the Turner-Ingersoll House famous. If the producer of this film ever reads my post, thanks for making it.

I bought the HP Lovecraft film fest Blu Ray just so I could watch this movie a few years ago. Best animated film I've seen of all time, and I'm not kidding. The blend of stop motion and cut out/hand drawn animation is seamless and very creative. Hope to see more of your animation soon!
