Thanks so much for this. My Ducky One 2 sf got spilled over with cola, and now I have 6 sticky Keys. I cleaned the whole board with alcohol and even tried to clean the sticky switches inside with alcohol, but they still stick. Guess desoldering 6 switches and putting 6 new ones is still worth the effort to save my beloved Keyboard.
Ayo??? Found this video looking for a tutorial on how to change the switches for my keyboard which is the exact one (obviously) but right down to the same keycaps? Twins
Omg so I got those thocky epsilon switches but I have a ducky and I feel like this is too much effort for me 😭 lol so might just get another keyboard that’s hot swapabble
Nearly all electronics use lead free solder, which takes a higher heat to melt than the leaded solder you can buy. You need to use a bigger soldering tip, and/or turn the heat up. Add some leaded solder to the joint to make removing the solder easier.
hi i was wondering if i can fix my key chattering on my ducky with changing the "e" switch only or do i need to change all switches to same ones or do i really need to buy new keyboard when i just bought this?
No unfortunately 😩, the stabs are plate mounted, the plate is also held on by the switches, which is also held on by the plate, so you can remove it without breaking the switches
@@jaytnacks update the keyboard starting catching on fire while soldering with 400 Degrees (which is an ok themperatur) this shit cost me 600 in total now its dead what a loss.
as far as I know, this is a soldered PCB, which means the switches are not removable without using the method in this video (desoldering). The switches are actually attached to the PCB with solder and not removable with a switch puller (trying to remove a soldered switch with a puller would break the PCB). PCBs and keyboards labeled as hotswappable, like the Ducky One 3, are more or less plug and play with most types of switches. In other words a switch puller can safely be used on a hotswap keyboard.
the music so loud bro
why is the music so damn loud but great vid man
frrrrrrr
bro its a great vid but fuck this is "music" is deafening its just screeching :"D

This helped so much tysm
Keyboard won’t turn on after soldering on new switches, why could be the cause of this?

damn Drake.
i ordered gaterons linear yellows and they on they way hopefully this helps🙏
Same i also ordered them did you replace the switches?
Thank you bro
Don’t do it guys you destroy the copper ring. The copper ring is used to connect your switch to your motherboard
Hey bro just wondering are they pcb or plate I need to know ?
novelkeys.xyz/products/kailh-speed-switches this says Plate mount
Fuck this board I can not for the life of me get the factory solder to melt

what is the pin switch?
Do you have to do that soldering Thing for the second time for the keyboard to work?
yes
i really want to change my switches i got my ducky one two mini as a gift and they have blue switches
bro the music destroys my ears ...
Do I need to solder my keyboard to switch to speed silver from cherry mx blues?
yea all ducky one 2 switches are soldered to the board.
hi i was wondering if i can fix my key chattering on my ducky with changing the "e" switch only or do i need to change all switches to same ones or do i really need to buy new keyboard when i just bought this?
it's enough to just change that one that is chattering, but you should replace it with the same switch
its a bit hard to find single switches, what board does yours use?
ayo i got a question i just wanna remove the stabs but can i remove them without desoldering the whole keyboard (i also have the ducky one 2 mini)
