- British rapper, singer, and actress Little Simz sits down with Zane Lowe for a conversation about her upbringing, creative process, and her fourth studio album, 'NO THANK YOU'.
Simz talks through her breakout album 'GREY Area', and explains how having no expectations for that record made it more special. Then, 'Sometimes I Might Be Introvert' was the album that changed everything for her sound and forced a focus on her writing skills. Simz also touches some of her greatest inspirations, like Missy Elliott and Nas.
The two close out the conversation about being on tour and performing at festivals, how the album title 'NO THANK YOU' was chosen, and advice from Damon Albarn of Gorillaz.

Little Simz is so goated insane flow, incredible lyrics and just awesome music. The last album is one of the best this year, and Sometimes I might be Introvert is one of the best albums period.

He's too eager to show that he 'gets her' or he's in touch with her cultural background, et cetera. & that's unnecessary, as a journalist, since the main goal is to hear the interviewee speak for themselves. Otherwise, what is the point of the interview? Absolutely frustrating!

Simz is my favourite artist over the last three years. She has the ability to speak to common human experience, even though she speaks as a woman, and a black woman. In other words, she has her identity, but she speaks universally
As usually he is interviewing himself more than the artist. Do not interrupt all the time or steer the converstaion to your experiences all the time! You are probably a very nice guy, Zane, but do not be so overbearing, do not fence in your guests! By the way, Little Simz is a brilliant artist and a very nice interviewee: smart, open, patient and expressive.
