It wasn't great compared to some of the other episodes, but only because the other episodes were so amazing, compared to other shows it's a million times better.

Syzygy from Season 3 was so horrible it's hilariously bad. The part when the chick detective was seducing Mulder right in front of Scully is one reason why. The town people acting crazy is another, and then you have Scully being jealous for the second straight following the roach episode.
