Refreshing teaching coming straight out of the Bible. Thank you for saying all the tough stuff even when you know it will sift the church. Lord, keep refining me with The Word! It never gets old.
Great service. 💪 I absolutely love this church and Pastor Brett. 🙏❤ And a special thanks for showing the clip of the sheep who fell into that hole [twice] -- yes sir, I saw myself.
God bless you from Arkansas! I absolutely love every teaching from Pastor Brett-he brings the Bible to life and always gives me new insights into the Word.
I can't count how many times I've read Mark 2:27 and glossed over it. This time it jumped off the page at me. The Sabbath is supposed to be a blessing, away from the daily grind and actually have fun and enjoy life, praising God.
Yes! In Genesis, God rested on the 7th day, as WE rest from our works (i.e by FAITH). We live the Christian life by His power, not by ours. This is "rest" also.
Thank u Brett for your iron works as well I feel like I'm apart of your church family. I think my sin is I live with my fiancé. I do my best not to do anything with her but she can't work and if we lived in different places she would not have anywhere to go. I can't put her out on the streets I love her so much but I pray all the time about this.
Always learning something new from your pastor. I'm betting he's RIGHT ON about Jesus speaking to things that actually happened in his encounters with the Pharisees. The guy with the sheep had to be thinking...'how did he know?' That ought to have been a serious SIGN to them. FYI them the woman caught in adultery was set up. They likely paid a guy to proposition her, around the time they anticipated encountering Jesus. Then, they knew where to go get her. Unfortunately for them, the LAW says BOTH the man and the woman are guilty. So where was the man? Oh...right.....they agreed he would be "safe". You can hardly commit adultery alone. But Jesus saw thru it all. Sometimes the meanest most deceptive people are the self-righteous, fake, "religious" types.
I don't know the whole thing, but if that writing even existed when the Bible was being put together, it was not considered "authentic". The guys that met together to decide which writings were "authentic" and which ones were not had certain qualifications that had to be met in order to be included in the cannon of scripture. The writings referred to as 'book of Enoch' didn't pass the muster...didn't make the grade. The guys putting the Bible together looked for writings by the Apostles or those who were known to study under or travel with the Apostles. And the Old Testament was already those writings accepted by the Jews of Jesus day. There were "problems" with Enoch, so it was not considered.
The people stood before Moses in the clothes, dusty and dirty they had been wearing for days in the desert and Moses said to them, " the Lord said to me," " Go to the people and consecrated them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes. And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people". So the Lord does care how we stand before Him clothed. And what person invited, would intentually present himself before a dignitary in dirty, daily, old clothes with holes and scruffy and his tattooes showing to honor Him or make his petition. I don't think so. That person would wear something suitable. Especially those who officiate in the worship service, should set the example for the congregation and expect them to eventually want to do the same when they present themselves before the Greatest of Dignitaries.

Y’all, please don’t think all Texans are that way
Question why wasn't the book of Enoch included in the bible?
