cool, love the spectrum tv ap. when it came out a few years ago on the roku, they made sure it was accessible for the blind to use with the audio guide turned on. I use it with no problems on my tcl roku tv's. acomplete blind user here. yep. highly recommend. yep!
Is the bottom line here that you need a spectrum account to be able to use this app. If that is the case I don’t really consider this a free app. It sounds like this app is similar to dish anywhere. Which I used to have at home so I would not have to pay for an extra box.
It’s definitely NOT free you need to be a Spectrum customer for sure using Spectrum on the Roku stick just means you will no longer pay to lease their cable boxes, I knocked off $40 on my bill by downgrading my service to 15 channels that I watch plus locals and getting rid of the boxes I should’ve done this a long time ago
I have Spectrum internet, but no other services. With the Roku connected to the Spectrum internet, when I launch the Spectrum app on the Roku, I get a splash page to sign up for my free 1-week trial. It's not free.
Being a Spectrum customer, I just bought a Roku Ultra. The reason is the cable box always has issues where picture is freezing. But my internet is fine. Have not had a single picture freezing issue since migration to the Ultra. What i hate is no ability to direct tune to a channel in the Roku. You have to scroll like, from channel 8 all the way to channel 218. The voice function will not help direct tune either. Using favorites guide still requires you to scroll. Cannot believe Roku Engineers cannot program a direct tune feature. If you google you will see this is a big complaint of Spectrum and Direct TV users on Roku devices.
Your title should be changed as it caused some confusion in the comment section, it does come off that you’re saying the entire Spectrum service itself is free when it’s actually the content within the app that’s free only for a Spectrum customer We all know how people react to click bait titles 😬 it would save you the trouble
Sorry. Didn’t mean to be confusing. The app is free for people who are spectrum customers. You need to have a spectrum tv service to log on to the app. The big deal is that before you had to be in the house for home order to access channels. Now you don’t have to be there to get a lot of them.

Would love to see a video on the spectrum stream with cloud dvr.
For a second I thought it was free

I agree! How do we get past the sign in? Not free Ryan.

It would be up to Spectrum to build that into their app
@@thestreamingadvisor So Roku does not review apps or give feedback of Apps prior to the apps release on the Roku environment?

It's a glitch, they will catch on.
Wait so you don’t have to pay
Mines doesn't show it.
Are DirecTV and Spectrum the same thing? I only ask because the Spectrum logo pops up when I hook my hdmi cable from my DirecTV box to the TV.
No they are totally Different
Wait, you don’t have to pay. I had it but I uninstalled it bc I was paying for it
A very confusing video, is this free?

@@thestreamingadvisor Thanks so much for the clarification
It would not work for me
Fake title. Not free. Just to get video views.
Mine wants me to subscribe to Spectrum.
If you are a spectrum subscriber already you can skip through that and get to the on-demand and live streaming Channel
My SPECTRUM App is not free...
Right it's free for the people who have spectrum and it stated in the video
Oh I’m not a spectrum customer
Thats BS
Waste of my time. Thanks for nothing.
Your welcome.
