Looking at the 65. Saw it in action yesterday and it looked soooooo much better than anything else in the shop. I realise setting may have not been optimised on other tvs but it was gorgeous.
Excellent review Paul, I love all things LEDs so I've always been tempted by the ambilight, I know this is unrelated but just a quick update for you and your channel, I've just completed the LG g1 update 03.34.70 and so far, touch wood, everything seems to be operating as normal.
So sorry for the late reply mate. I'm normally on the ball with getting back to those who send me Super Thanks, but been soo busy with the kids, I've not had time to even look at the comments. So thanks very much for the support once again. As for the update, again thank you for keeping me in the loop. Just briefly looking, I've had a few messages saying that it seems to be all good. I'll look to post a video up in the next few days, and I'll be sure to thank you guys for being so kind and passing on your personal experiences of it. 🙂👍
@@TheTechGiantRUclips Hi Paul, hey mate, no apologies needed at all pal. I know how much you've got going on so don't worry about it at all, I hope you are managing and everyone is ok and slowly getting to some sort of normality. Take it easy pal.
@@user-b1b2b Hi Andy, yes touch wood so far everything is fine, did my update on Wednesday or Thursday and everything is working OK and all main apps loading normally,
i wanna ask a question when you turn on motion settings in war scenes sword is getting blur or fotball ball is getting blur do you have same problem it is not a problem in 50 fps but in 24 fps i have
I would love to get a Phillips oled to test but I'm in the US I remember an older Phillips TV I had I actually liked it tbh the 807 shows you what kind of magic a not overly bright oled tv can give you! Its rich deep and just beautiful. What I remember most about Phillips was its rich color.
Thank you. Would you please make a video showing the settings, the home interface, the customisation of apps, and the Live TV channel interface (is it possible to display freeview channels from an aerial/sat dish? can you have a favourite channels list? and can you program a show to play when it airs?) 🙂
Great video Paul. Like when you do these types of videos because it gives the pro's and con's in your view. That being said. LG dropped a new firmware update for the C1 yesterday and smooth sailing with no issues.

Hello, Paul. Off topic mate. There's a new update for my 65inch LG G1. Do you know anything about this new update? I received it 2 days ago. Version: 03.34.70, I'm currently on: 03.34.55. Cheers Paul. 👍
Just brought a LG OLED C2 EVO. And a AVR X2800h. When installing the LG TV it worked fine but no sound coming from the AVR. Plus the aerial cable was cut outside so very surprising as the LG works great. Thought that i had full broadband and wifi when installing but never did. But now i do have full whfi and broadband with Amazon and Dolby Atmos which has just been delivered. But has not been installed yet. Will this help matters ?. And new outside Aerial for live TV. If everything is turned off and restarted again. Would the AVR work as the lights are on in the AVR plus writing on screen but no sound. If both were turned off would the AVR work. Or is there a problem with this using HDMI cables between the AVR and TV. I will getting help doing this. Just wanted to know your thoughts "Thank you and for your previous videos great help".
For people out all day you really don't need to leave it plugged in & on standby constantly, so long as you leave it plugged in for some time to do it's thing. It's just wasted money to leave things plugged in especially at day rate electricity rates. So if you must leave it on stand by do so say 3 days a week or something or if you watch TV before leaving for the day unplug it then. it has hours in the dark hours to do what it needs to do without you pi$$ing money away. Same goes for games consoles too.
When I had a Philips Ambilight TV I always had it on the natural setting for the smbilight. I found it to be the best setting. I also had the smbilight brightness at 0 or 1 because I only had it on at night. I used to think the smbilight thing was stupid but after having a Govee smbilight kit i started to enjoy it. Then I got the 2022 PHILIPS 58PUS8535 and I missed the smbilight after the screen gave up after 13 months. The govee kit doesn't hold a candle to the Philips Ambilight (I'm aware the Philips hue kit is four times the price) The things I didn't like about the Philips TV I had were after three months the TV had lots of very obvious dirty screen effect , the AV sync was extremely bad and I had to go into sound settings to set passthrough every time I changed source on the TV and I didn't like the diamond shaped f pad on the remote. It was a brilliant TV except for the few flaws in my model. I was probably unlucky and got a bad one.

Can you compare Philips to LG side by side and which one has better picture quality in your opinion? :)
I might just buy this tv thanks to you Paul! Great review
It is my pleasure 🙂
I Have 65oled806 and now 120HZ on GT7,Great
The ambilight looks gorgeous with the grey brick background 🥰
Another great video Paul!
Glad you enjoyed it
Ended up getting the 65 and am astounded you don’t see more chat online about this TV. Unreal.
Thank four video paul
Very welcome

One of best things is 4 arc ports
Not available in the USA. Would really want it due to the light feature.
Could you see if this TV has the Philips Hue Sync app built in? Since Philips has started to uninstall this app from a particular model
Can you set the ambilight to one solid colour? If you dont want it reacting to the picture all the time?
@TheTechGiant Thanks for the video! I could easily make a video with 5 best things about you!
Keep it up 🎉

No it wasn't.

The new Samsung S95C OLED will be more durable and more thick and will have new game bar features and a new Tizen operating system.
Hello mate would you go with this philips 807 or c2 / cs LG ?
I have the 55" C2 and it kicks ass! The best tv i have owned
@@Northmaul thanks man.. i am considering the same move… maybe the CS to save some cash

Out of the 3, the C2 is the best

This! My 65OLED707 draws 17-18W in standby with WOL disabled. Far from advertised power usage.

Whats better the 808 or 807 I hate that its only 3 sided amberlight now rather than 4 so im heading more towards the 807 version
