- Judas the Hammer was one of the most incredible war heroes of all time. Judas led 3,000 Jewish soldiers against an army of 24,000 Syrian invaders, in what would seem like an impossible battle, Judas led his men in the name of freedom for his people. In today's video let's go back in history and witness Judas' battle tactics first hand!

Judas Macabeus is so underrated. He was truly a military mastermind.
In medieval times, this man was one of the Nine Worthies, nine historical or legendary figures that were believed to have embodied the concept of chivalry. They were three Christians (King Arthur, Charlemagne, and Godfrey of Bouillon), three Jews (Joshua, King David, and Judas Maccabeus), and three Pagans (Hector of Troy, Alexander the Great, and Julius Caesar.)

Wow Judas was the name of this great war hero, but now when you hear Judas you think of the most famous traitor in history.
'Judas' is literally the most generic Jewish name. It's just a mispronounced "Yehuda" which is also the correct pronunciation of the word "Jew". The average Jew never even heard about Judas in Christian/Western mythos.

Just like the average Muslim that can't re-tell the story if jesus outside the same broadstrokes of "he was born in Judea, people believed that he's the messiah, he walked on water and then he was crucified for some reason". What's the name of the guy that was his student and betrayed him is an obscure detail for anyone who doesn't bother actively looking into it.
