FYI, this song isn't actually "Egypt"; it's just the backing track to the unrelated 1982 Poco song "Break of Hearts". There's a parody account on RUclips called FIVEFIVEONE that makes tongue-in-cheek edits of Beach Boys-esque songs, then posts them under the guise of long-coveted, unbootlegged outtakes (usually in a more flagrantly satirical manner, mind you). As it so happens, they posted this exact audio under the name "Egypt (M.I.U. Outtake)" a couple months ago; I'm guessing Jamie fell for the bait. Hey, it happens to the best of us! For now, the real "Egypt" remains in the vaults.

I had no idea of this song being cut by Brian at this time. Very enjoyable. As a whole I very much enjoy MIU. I don’t mind the title , I think it adds to the mystique of it.
