Hey everyone, thanks for all of your comments! I do see a lot of interest in seeing where the kids sleep. We usually set up a tent if we’re staying in a campground but I will be putting together a video and showing how we all sleep in the van! Keep looking out for the video should be coming out soon!

One of my very fave van builds ever!!! Where do your children sleep, though?? For 2 it seems perfect!! Love it if there is a place to sleep 2 more.

Thanks! It is a very tiny space, but we are able to get our boys to sleep in their spaces. We will be posting a video about it, we have a lot of comments regarding where the boys sleep. Stay tuned!😎

In terms of basic layout, this is actually pretty similar to the (albeit much more expensive) Panoramic RV van. That Panoramic is, as far as I can tell, the only manufacturer to adopt this floorplan surprises me because it really is an excellent basic floorplan for a Promaster, which is the only one wide enough to really to an elevated east/west bed without bumpouts. You guys did a great job, especially considering your budget.
Update: I have since noted that the Noovo van also uses this basic layout. So that's two.
Great job! I have the same van and it cost me nearly double to have it custom built! Mine has many more features, but still, the fact that you did this yourselves, so beautifully, is impressive. You did all the important things😮. Congrats!
Btw, I had the same concerns with propane and, like you, went with induction. In hindsight I was probably over cautious. The cooktop is a huge power hog, tho I love it.
I totally agree! It takes a lot of energy. We cook outdoors whenever we can. The B2B charger really does a great job to top off the batteries when driving
Looks like you upgraded to more aggressive tires? Totally worth it. I have the same van and never get stuck. The original factory tires were more for commercial use.

In case you are interested, there are some great WRAP Campervan Awnings (OLPRO) (CAYMAN COMBO AIR) that connect to the back and the side of a campervan RV, super for extra sleeping places and a great lounge area as well, and they are drive away, so you can use your vehicle & Awning stays and your campsite saved 👍🏻👏🏻

Thank you! Very much appreciated!!! This was a crazy project born during Covid. As first time van builders we had no idea how much work it would be! It was definitely worth it in the end, we are making some great memories and enjoying every minute of it! Let me know if you have any links to the awnings, I have been checking those out, but can’t seem to find any that would fit our build.

I am thinking that everyone gets on the bed for relaxing, as you mentioned however, should you choose, down the road to do van living, you have to figure where the kids will stay, at night. Can you, in the future, cover an issue like this because, so many if us our thinking the same way.

Have a feeling overnight trips not for kids yet...just day trips. Have seen where extra seats fold down and cushion lays on floor for kids to sleep. It was a different family video.
Alot of people are asking where does the kids sleep...its obvious they sleep on the roof by the solar panels 😅

Mom clearly says, the bed is big enough for the two them and if the kids want to jump in, there’s plenty room for them.

Not so “family friendly” if half the family doesn’t get to sleep in a bed! I specifically watched this to get layout ideas for a van with two kids- why do I have to watch another video to find out where the kids sleep?
Beautiful van but where the heck do the kids sleep when you’re temporarily on the road? Do you all just squash up on that bed. It’s not really a family van if there’s no mention of where the kids sleep. It’s perfect for a couple though 🥰
Thanks for checking out the video! We are going to be putting together a small video to show how all four of us sleep in the van. We are part-timers so we spend most times with the family in campgrounds where we set up a tent for the boys.
