    My 1966 GT Fastback that I bought new in April 1966 is still going great ( my 26 year old son drives it to work) dealer installed tri-power and lots of goodies ( I worked the parts 🎉counter at Williams Ford in Berea Ohio) . To bad you didn’t mention a price range. Vintage Burgundy and black GT interior. As a side note only 11% 1966 mustangs were delivered with stamped steel wheels but everyone on the market has them - I have two sets of original ones and a set of aftermarket on the car- original ones were riveted but the aftermarket ones are welded ( probably better)

    Awesome cars. My dream car is 65 fastback in prairie bronze. I’m recently got a 65gt coupe(believed to be GT) to restore. And it’s a basket case at moment.

    Great Video Michael! Very useful information, I did not know the GT package did not come standard with the style steel wheels and the pony interior. In my head I thought those two were part of the package, so it is awesome to learn new things! Beautiful Cars, as always!

    Great Video.... What an amazing Mustang... Does mileage mean anything in the collector market... What is your feeling on the new Mustangs and GT500's?? Harold

    • @QualityClassics
      @QualityClassics  Год назад

      Mileage means VERY LITTLE to most if remediated by repairs, enhancements and proper maintenance. Ford has done a great job of keeping the halo car exciting. I think the new Mustangs are wonderful .... I am just waiting on them to age out a bit before I purchase my first "modern" Stang.

    I respect and love mustangs. My concern is the newer generation. I don’t think that they care at all for these classics. We are going to see a huge depreciation of classic cars in general in the coming years.

    • @QualityClassics
      @QualityClassics  Год назад

      I sell a respectable percentage of my vintage cars to guys below 30. It would be even higher if the prices had not gotten so high on these cars. Most of my buyers are more focused on the experience versus future appreciation, however every one of my buyers over the last 20 years has enjoyed significant appreciation. Big returns in the fun factor too.

    I don’t get yhe prevalence if it’s a gt or not. The options for them are everything . I’ve seen 2 barrel gts. Who the hell wants that. To me it’s if a fastback #1. Next is the engine. Any k code mustang is wanted. But the k code could come in all the tops. Coupe, convertible or fastback. Also an automatic or manual. Some could even be ordered with a supercharger. Anyways my 66 fastback is a c code built and owned for most of its life in LA. Now I own it and have the California black plate. I blew the 289 a few years ago and replaced it with a 347. The car has less than 80000 miles since built. I guess what I’m saying is the gt option is overrated.

      good luck with it, if you install a flowmaster over the axle 2.5 inch pipe set up, well my 66 GT picked up 5 mph in the quarter mile. every thing else the same . original pipes are like 1.8 inches and crinkle bent.
