@@logan6232 the thing is, all the people saying that hades 1 is way easier are people who played that game a ton already before hades 2. So it’s not entirely a fair assessment because those people already have tons of experience with the core gameplay of hades.
@timklafke4712 Going between sessions of playing Hades and Hades II, the sequel is most certainly harder compared to the first one. While bosses in the first game had health, the ones in this game feel like they take longer amd are more complex with attack patterns to learn. It definitely seems to be more difficult
It astounds me that the pronunciation of all the names in the game are given you to through dialogue and people still mispronounce them. "Melinoi, He-kate." X
I think you're referring to Makaria? Because Melinoë is the Goddess of Nightmares and Ghosts. I'm pretty sure that's the case, unless someone proves me wrong.
You should probably play hades 1 tho since it’s cheaper and complete maybe in like 6-12 months time hades 2 when hades 2 is more complete. It has some balance issues rn
The volume difference for the coin sound is really jarring since you have to turn it up to hear and then the coin sound is SO loud. Would def make it easier to watch with less of a difference, or just no coin sound altogether
Need to play Hades 1? No, is it helpful? Yes. I put in 100+ hours into Hades and 20 ish into Hades 2 so far (there’s a lot of exploring and hidden storyline additions) and still haven’t beat 1, 2 is similar mechanics but you have to be faster than in Hades 1, so you could go straight into 2 but generally I’d still suggest at least beating Hades’ main storyline first before going into 2
First few playthrough i keep dying because i tried to play melinoe like how i played zagreus while zagreus had near 0 cd dash and multiple dash, More tanky, Not to mention his basic attack is more reliable than melinoe. I realize after a while i need to play melinoe like a agile mage and not like zagreus a warrior
This isn't the Greek telling though, he'll it isn't even the roman telling, and when the game explicitly tells you how to pronounce a name, probably stick with that unless you want to looks a bit arrogante
It's kinda fun to see people correcting the Hecate pronounciation, as, even though that's how they say the name in game, it's still a ways off from the proper Greek pronounciation. lol
Literally Melinoë says heh-kah-tee NOT heh-kate. Also Hecate's Greek pronunciation is Heh-káh-tee, but it would be written as Hecati. Hecate is the LATIN name, pronounced as Éh-ka-teh.
According to different sources, she's been named as a daughter of Zeus or Hades... the only consistent thing is that Persephone is always named as her mother regardless of the source.
I think Hecate is pronounced hek-a-tee 🤔
I think your right because That's how I have always heard it
yeah that bugged me lol
Came here to say this.
They’re both right
@@fashionovawigs No, they're not. It's ancient Greek, not modern day English.
You absolutely need to play Hades 1,
Just because it's an incredible game
Definitely. I also think its better to start with hades 1 because of the simpler mechanics
@@logan6232but more fast pace tho because zagreus had near insta skill and dash

I hope we get to speak with Zagreus in the game

@@adam622500 It's the same what happened in first game. In early access you couldn't talk to Persephone

omg he said it so confidently
Melinoë is the goddess of a peaceful death, such as passing in your sleep

Interesting! So it’s Zagrias’ Sister we play as this time? Neat
i think you need to have played hades 1 since there are things that you only know when you played it, like skelemeus being just a troll name
“More of a focus on ranged combat”
*shows almost exclusively mid to short range attacks*
As a fan of Greek myths and Percy Jackson I think this game seems great
The moment you said you don’t have to play hades one, I can’t believe anything else from this post 👍🏻👍🏻
Me to hades after i knockout chronos: “now go hit yo daddy” “ima take back everything you took from us”
Probably should word it differently than “hit yo daddy” when it comes to the greek gods lol
Pronunciation please

The new big bad is your dad's dad 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I kind of hoped this would be multiplayer
No real reason to be tbh
Why? It would make no sense to be
Thank god I don’t need to play the original, because I’ve already been playing the second game with no knowledge of it.
