It's been 32 years ago today since this album was recorded. Live in Los Angeles California at Cornerstone Institutional B.C., Monday June 4, 1990 at 7:00pm. The recording of the King Of Gospel Music Rev. James Cleveland and the Los Angeles Gospel Messengers our 8th anniversary aka The King's Kids. Wonderful memories we'll forever cherish. I ♥️ my family and more than honored to be a member of this legendary choir!!!

James Cleveland has authored some wonder, soul stirring, uplifting songs that I have appreciated down through the years from a young child when my mother use to play them on Saturday’s while cleaning house. I’m thankful and grateful this man has left such a legacy behind in music and song. An anointed genius. When we all get to heaven... until then.... 🙏🏽☦️🙏🏽

And bless our mom's who played these and other Godly songs and programs while cleaning on Saturdays! I grew up hearing and developing such a heart for Jesus and others in need of Him because of what my mom had either on the radio or on the turn-table [young people, that's what we put vinyl records on to play our music :p )
I just love this song, never knew that James Cleveland was associated with it. Now I know why I always feel something when I hear it...I get blessed and encouraged when hear the ending of the song..'you may be going through something in your life right now, but there is...all my problems..all my worries' A lifthing for ME!!!!

I love this song! I have never heard of this song until I seen it on here. While everybody is talking about the king of pop, lets talk about the king of gospel! This is the best music in the world, and this song is true to it's name, lifting for me!
This guy has a nice typical tenor range. He reaches the notes with such ease, it is amazing. I wish I could have heard him in person. So many men singing tenor parts today are actually baritones, and have to strain for the higher notes. And with most of the music having only three parts, you have to sing tenor if you are a male and are going to sing in the choir.
Still one of my favorite song by James Cleveland.

Where is this singer TODAY?? Never heard this rendition before yesterday; Only Rev. Cleveland and the choir when he says SHHHHH!!!! I can see Rev. Cleveland directing the wonderful choir!! This young man has definitely been Blessed with an Outstanding voice... A Fantastic Soloist!!!!

I would really love to have this on dvd if it's available!!! This song almost got me fired. I was listening to it on the radio at work and strarted shouting and my supervisor thought I had lost my mind.

The name of the soloist is Dwight Swiney
I'm not 100% sure, but that's sounds like Roger; a guy that used to sing with Rev. Cleveland back in the 60's. His voice was a lot higher back then, of course. Someone, please, correct me if I'm wrong. Still, he has a beautifully smooth sound... whoever he is!!
