Oh snap huge fan bro! I came a cross a vid that discussed it.. no offense to my man bk Bangaz but u should def make a tutorial. The vid below. Ill be waiting for your version ruclips.net/video/VMKw3yCGAS0/видео.html
Got lots of content from past 20 years of playing my own music and this just opens up a whole new world of sharing that with others for their beats. Thanks bro.
Mantis this was fire video!!! Have you ever got around to making a video for preview of the created Expansion pack and can you make a video on how to use kit maker???
Very good and helpful video! Thanks very much. What's happening here is that I have the old MPC Essentials sorftware AND the brand new MPC Beats software. And my expansions are all over the place in my hard-disk, in various "System Library" folders. Do you have any hint on where they should really be and how to organize that?! Many many thanks
This is the second how to video I've watched for making expansions and both leave me hanging with blank expansions. No explanation on the most important part which is adding samples and making kits.
That’s for the tutorial, super helpful. I checked out kit maker you mentioned to build the drum pad kits, what a cool program!!! Is there one to create instruments (map keyboard) as well? Thanks a lot
can you turn mpc projects into an expansion packs? Also, when you save mpc projects, does it save all content into its own folder or does the project read the samples from it original locations?
@0:10 Do you know where I can all of the Fender Rhodes sounds from the Keyscape? Because I had just brought a brand new Factory sealed MPC One Gold from Guitar 🎸 Center for $629 with free shipping
Awesome 💯 To get your sound is the preview when you hit the folder on export do you hit save as preview? I can’t get my programs to preview before I select them.
🤦♂️ so when I got the mpc one went through the tutorial on RUclips to export f9 expansion with SD card it works no problem on my mpc one standalone but when I purchased the other expansion to my SD card just like the F9 expansion the file shows on the mpc one but it's empty file what am I doing wrong
Kit maker is super easy to use. I wanted to show how to use it but it would have made the video a lot longer. Would you want a video showing how to use it ?
@@mantisbeatsit's up to you l was also wondering how kit maker organizes your samples. With NI maybe it has a way but what about your own samples? Sorry about all these questions l just want to understand how it works it wasn't explained in there videos.
Really helpful video. Thank you! But I have questions: How to create the expansion packs from samples I`ve colected anywhere else? The Fire folder already shows some XPN files and some Waves too. So, also: How this XPN files already in the folder were created? If I create an expansion with a folder that have only waves, would it work as normal? Thank you again for your time.
But what you are doing is converting a library to mpc format with the builder, not creating a library, i would like what is inside the folder of the library, is only wave files , how the builder gets the waves into mpc note assigned, is the builder that randomly choses the mpcs pad ??
I sampled my 808 thru a neve 2254E and a VX, and i wave the waves 24bit converted from a merging converter, i sliced all the beats etc, now how i creat the folder library, to use the builder
I cannot make native instruments expansion that are bigger than 2gig smaller yes no problem but over 2 gig and it says error did anyone else find this ?
Great video. Question, after creating a mpc expansion do I need to keep the samples I used to create the mpc expansion on my hard drive or are the individual samples contained inside the created expansion?
Good show, Good show. Your a fine bloak, maybe one day we'll have tea. But as of now me and Slick Rick are off to Pickadilly Square to make beats for the Queen. She's putting out a new diss record called "Prince Harry ain't shit".
oh how to do a preview you just job covering this whole video really but if you could please explain how to do the preview because one of the things I love to do personally right before I buy an MPC expensive from McKay is I will get a free view and listen to the other video if you have one or if you could I would greatly appreciate it Thank You 🙏
Missing details about how to actually setup and arrange the files, which is the main part of creating an expansion. Creating kits, sorting and naming samples and programs, adding tags and audio previews etc. pp. The video only shows how to pack a finished expansion to a XPN file. No pun intended btw, maybe you should just rename the video title, as it's promising too much
Hey Marco, I really appreciate the feed back thanks so much. I think I’ll have to disagree with you slightly as creating a kit and sorting samples is called creating a “Program” or more specifically a “Drum Program”. What I’ve done is what the title refers to, which is show viewers how to convert the program into an “Expansion” which is what many have wanted to know. I will address creating previews in a future video.
There's only one reason why they Akai Force is trash to own and it's because of stuff like this. You're completely on your own when it comes figuring out a way to create expansions or even download and load onto the Force. Akai never thought about how would Force owners who just dropped $1,200 on a unit download and create expansions? The only way to do it on the Force is some long ass bootleg process. This is exactly why I still stick with my 2KXL and my Force collects dust. I gotta do all this sh*t just to make the Force useful. Like for real the Akai Force isn't a stand alone unit it's like an add on when you already own an MPC One, Live or X because you still need the 2.0 software or one of those units to download and transfer expansions or create expansions. They offer all this tech on the Force but it's like a bootleg MPC. You can't fully use it without 2.0 software to manage stuff and you gotta do all this bootleg backwoods stuff to make it work. Most guys that got a force own an MPC so they wouldn't even know the pains but if you only have a Force you know how much of a PITA this thing is to get going sometimes. I even hit Akai up for assistance and they act like they don't even know their own product. I'm asking them about the Force and they're sending me links for MPC related sh*t the Force can't even do.
Thanks for the video.. Did you ever get around the "how to create previews for expansion" tutorial?

Nice clear explanation. Have a sub. Gonna have a look to see if you did a preview video. Cheers
Hi Mantis, I woul love to do this with SF2 soundbank, as I've got ton's of them.
Nice!!!
Very helpful
Awesome... but how do you have previews setup sp you can audition the programs before dropping them on your pads?

I have just some wave files how can I turn that into a pack

so you can export vst instruments to the mpc live?
Where can I get that wallpaper though? Lol

Does it convert the NI patterns to SQX files, I’m looking for a Programme that can do that
There is i forget the name but if you search around you could find it.

you need to take this video down. its very misleading. so much you are NOT saying. this is why so many folks are asking questions. click bait
I think I've been pretty specific but would love your feedback on what you think I should have included.
