I just wanted to say how Thankful I am for this ... I found this sort of by accident but as soon as I saw it, I *KNEW* ... my Grandmother & Mother were from Poland, and my Grandmother was not opposed to canned soup every once in a while, but also made her own ... and my favorite since childhood was something I just called, what I believe basically translates to straight-up "Grandmother's Soup" ... and I never once even asked what it was, she would set it down , from 6yrs old to 26yds old ... and I ate. When she passed (I was a little less than 27?) - I never thought about it until my Mom passed years later, and I realized- I not only asked what it was, I didn't know the name, but I also couldn't even describe it ... every time I tried, I made a fool of myself ... "Uhh... it was like, yellow... I think there was potatoes & carrots... and she'd put a Bay Leaf in each bowl and admonish me not to eat it..." - and every time someone showed me a Polish soup, it would *not* be right. *THIS* IS IT .... I'm so excited! I'm trying this as soon as the sun comes up today! Thank you very much!

Chicken wings used to be the cheapest parts to buy to make stock. Then the world discovered BBQ Wings and now they cost the same as other parts. Babcia always said wings were the sweetest meat.

Cześć! I'm happy I found your channel!🥰 My husband and his brother lost their Mama & Tata in a horrific domestic tragedy over a year ago (their mom was killed). 😭 Their mom did not teach their sons how to cook. The mom taught me only a few Polish recipes when she was feeling well. I wanted to learn more from her, so I can make my husband's traditional Polish foods he likes. I'm soooooooooo happy to have found your channel! I'm definitely going to make some recipes to help comfort my husband and his brother during their grieving. The rest of their family is in 🇵🇱 Poland. They don't have any family here to learn from, or take comfort with, especially during the holidays. Well I'm trying my best to help them heal, and to have some good Polish food, especially around the holidays, when they miss their mom the most, as well as her Polish Soul Food. Dzięki :-)
    dzięki

I visited Poland a couple of years ago and some other Eastern Europe country's on tour for my 50th birthday ( actually had a date in Warsaw )!!!
You bring back some fond memories of Polish cooking for me. And I actually made some nadziewana kapusta years ago from moms recipe ( God rest her soul ). Thank you. POLSKI 1 !!!! And thanks to 'Google Translate'" too!!!! Do widzenia ;)

Thank you for this recipe - I can't wait to make the soup. I grew up in a Polish home and we seemed to have soup every other day. When my mother made chicken soup, she always used chicken wings as she felt that's what gave the soup the most flavor. It's interesting that the name of this soup is Krupnik and the honey, spiced vodka we drink at Wigilia is also named Krupnik.

I had this delicious alternative to the ubiquitous chicken noodle soup in about an hour. I used boxed stock & a couple frozen breasts, added some mushrooms that needed to be used and a splash of white wine. Yummy way to await the promised thaw in frigid Texas.
