- This video shows the effect of water cement ratio on the concrete properties. Water to cement ratio plays very important role in the concrete mix. If this ratio is not a desirable ratio in concrete mix, Concrete will not work properly in the site then. The general range of water to cement ratio in the concrete mix is 0.4 to 0.6. It can also be change depending on the project. If high strength concrete is required then this ratio range will not work. Concrete strength is inversely proportional to the water cement ratio. The more water cement ratio in mix the less will be the concrete strength, the less the water cement ratio the more will be the concrete strength. It also effects cocnrete other properties like workability of concrete and seggregation in concrete. If more water cement ratio is used then you will have less strength offcourse but your mix will be facing seggregation problem, which is not favourable in site during pouring of concrete, so admixtures are used to maintain the workable mix. If water cement ratio is less then you have more strength concrete mix but workability will be less and you have to use superplasticizers as an admixtures to maintain workability.

Good presentation 👏 you make it easier with 07 minutes. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Everything had covered, Nice Video
Glad you liked it!
Sir can u please share some real laboratoyry results on this for different grades of concrete
Thankyou
Sir plz make a video for what is water cement ratio? I did not understand.
can you give me the songs name at the start,
great video though
Thanks
very helpful video
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome
Thank you
I thought cement shrinks when it dries, wouldn't less water cause the concrete to crack?
Yes it do also
Can I increase cement flexibility by adding more water to the mix?
