Ahhh, when the announcement went up a few days ago, I was under the impression this would be a larger piece of music where the 14-second 1986 WDHV jingle theoretically came from, haha. I still wonder if there is a longer piece of music out there that it was edited from.
Anyways, I heard a portion of this particular "Disney is Magic, Disney is Joy" song on a few Argentinian and Chilean releases from the early '90s. I can only imagine why it rarely popped up on tapes in any English-speaking territories. Feels like this song was specifically made for that, much like "Walt Disney and You" was.

I find it interesting that this is the first time I hear an opening cue that leads to the first bars of the song “Disney is magic, Disney is joy”. Whats also interesting is that the song is dated 1989 which means the song was made between 1988 and 1989. (before this video, my thought was that this song was made in the early 90s). Zackzilla has an upload of the full version of the song, but without the opening cue from the first 8 seconds that is on this video.

I heard a little bit of this song in Spanish before on a Mexican VHS tape but with the Disney Videos logo on it. Nice to see hear the entire song in English and its entirety.

Interesting, all the clips that are used in the Latin American anti-piracy PSAs (and a lot of clips used in the UK/Greek/Asian ones) seem to be shared with this video. Some of the other Disney Video collection ads also seem to use this particular set of clips. It's always a mystery to me how many things seem coordinated between the different countries, while there still being a lot of differences too.

Anybody else gonna point out how the first eight seconds is a re-orchestration of the overture from Lady & The Tramp?

"It's just a jingle to advertise our home videos. No need to make it slap."

@@GabrielsLogoLibrary so far, I only have this vhs that has the theme song. So I can't tell you if there are more unless they exist online that are available for sale. I'll keep an eye out for more of those if they pop up. 😋

    Lyrics to song:
    Part 1:
When we stop for a moment of magic.
When we hold everything for a smile.
There's a favorite place for our dreams to be safe, for a fantasy to come alive
It's a time to be closer together.
Sharing moments that we'll keep forever.
All the classics you love, the great things and the stars, bring them home, come on sing-along!
    [Chorus]
Disney is magic, Disney is joy, Disney is magic.
Disney is magic, Disney is joy, Disney is magic, Disney Home Video.
    You'll love it all!
    Part 2:
    Action
    Adventure
    Love
    Fun
It's a time to be closer together.
Sharing moments that we'll keep forever.
All the classics you love, the great things and the stars, bring them home, come on sing-along!
    [Chorus]
Disney is magic, Disney is Joy, Disney is magic.
Disney is magic, Disney is Joy, Disney is magic, Disney Home Video
    [Chorus]
    You'll love it all!

I bet this would sound like something from the closing to the 1992 American VHS Copy of 101 Dalmatians.
    Oooooh boy, I'm so nervous.

This I think was made for a Video Dealer Promo originally, but instead of "Disney is Magic" you hear, "Display the magic" - ruclips.net/video/X5g55e0aVn0/видео.html

@@QueenofVHS I Don't think this song was made in the United States of America or Canada. Also, this song was made for Walt Disney Home Video International (which means Walt Disney Home Video outside of the United States and Canada).
