For people thinking WG will see the error of their ways,you must be joking. This is a pattern that has been in the game for yrs. I remember leaving ( albeit temporarily) when the Chrysler came in. Before that,the majority of players barely fired premium ammo. Then it went gold crazy. They’ve steadily added more and more tanks/mechanics that the VAST MAJORITY of players are dead against. But guess what,they don’t give a ****! As long as people use real money in the game,they will continue to “ break” the game.And if players stopped funding them,they’d probably pull support quicker than you can say “ uninstalled”.

I stopped playing tier 10 today. Until wg realizes that tier 10 is unplayable, i will not play anything above tier 8. its not only that this tank is a disgrace for ww2 game mode, but also the amount of players with under 5k games that ruin t10 matchmaking. I will not be playing this game for long if things wont get any better

Every week, they have to up the whale oil dosage. But soon they wont be able to sell the audience on their biggest broken premium and the threshold will be crossed. The plug will be pulled. The developers will move on to their old ways of making Mechassault.

As you said the biggest problem is the data will hide the toxicity of this tank. Gambit made a good point about it being a yolo wagon. Might as well make everything one shot at least it’ll make the suffering quicker to get over. I did buy this tank but like the AVRE I’m quickly finding it morally wrong to play and in actual fact I’m taking a break and playing RDR2 for a bit, I’ll probably be back at some point but the game right now is on a tilt and until WG balance the meta and mm (less than 18 TD’s each game) then it’s just going to be painful for everyone involved. What's even more toxic about this tank is that the 1hp hits can actually set people on fire. 192 chances to proc that 10-20% chance to burn on the engine.

It does things no other tank in the game can do. For instance in a scenario where a T49 gets behind a chieftan you can do 910dmg, but it has an awful aim time and accuracy sorta balancing it out. An amx 13 90 would have the interclip reload allowing the chieftan to turn. Whereas the T249 doesnt even have to bother aiming, just autolock, spray and evaporate the tank.. and wg had the audacity to give it the best spotting in the game as well as an bouncy turret.. literally a gamebreaking tank
been playing the pc version on and off since closed beta and saw the slow downfall of wg, so no surprise i see it on their console version. might as well call it world of premium.

If they removed the bleed through damage, I would complain, but not as much. It's just stupid that this thing can take out tanks that are low hp. Imagine being a super heavy end game. You don't stand a chance, cause you'll get out spotted and just slow farmed. No way to win. This is situational, but just disgusting that it's allowed. The only tank that may have a chance at out spotting it is the Taran, in a bush, and even in that tank you'll just get mowed down the second you fire. If something can beat the current most toxic tank in the game with ease, there's no reason it should exist
I started a new account just for the fun of re-grinding lines. Was having a blast playing some tanks I hadn't played in years (7 year player). Was at tier 8-9 on several lines. The lines I'm grinding? Leopard German medium line, British medium, British heavy, Waffle/Grille, German Light and Polish mediums. I probably would have bought the Leo 1 today actually. Then this thing came out. What is the point of playing ANY of those lines at t8+ right now? I played one game in the Leo PTA yesterday. Got yolo-ed by a T249 and deleted before I could even RB/RT onto it - and it was *in front of me already*. Turned off the console and walked away. Will not be walking back any time soon. Criminally stupid that this was ever released.
This is the issue. The tank is fundamentaly weak against, unsurprisingly, Russian tanks made of stalinium armour, and strong against everyone else. Particulary British, French and Germans. If it had poor mobility and gun accuracy on the move (or couldn't fire while moving) it would be situational - but right now it just goes out, looks for the nearest non-Russian and just melts them.
German heavy player. Stalinium only works when you fully coat the tank in liquid Stalinium. Leaving the butt of your tank without that coating, make them weaker. Russian heavies are weak in the rear. German big heavies are more protected in the backside. My source was the armor viewer in game and other streamers pointing that out as well.
I played several games today with the T249 on both teams. I'm not saying I love the tank (though I bought it so I can be the victimizer once in a while), but the tank has changed my own tactics when playing my standard tanks. Stick with a group, preferably with a T249 in it and don't stray off on your own. There's little chance in hell that WG will do anything to remedy their decision (10 years playing and ain't seen it yet), but as players we've adapted to all the shit they throw at us. If it requires more team play- it could turn out to be a good thing?

I don't remember mini-guns on tanks from my WW2 history class A gatling gun on a western wagon OK, but this wagon sure does change the WOT WW2 Label for me. The physics involved with "all these wot light tankettes" as if the people inside these would be able to thrive. All wot light tanks are extremely exaggerated and belong in Rocket League, not in anything labeled ww2.

Having played against this tank loads recently. And I’ve not seen anyone playing it as a light tank like this. They just burn in on you and rip you to pieces. Even as a heavy tank player these things will burn you in seconds. They’re disgusting. And god forbid you come up against a platoon of three. Disgusting!
Guess I wont be playing my grille 15 or Murat anytime soon. Shame, theyre two of my favorite tanks. At least things like my Type 5 and E-100 should do alright

I've been playing the game for so long now and I love it, but everything that's been happening lately is taking all the fun out of it. All the tactics and skills you've acquired over 10 years are now obsolete. It's just pay2win and the loyal old players are getting hit in the face one after the other. I don't think we're the target group anymore. I'm on the verge of uninstalling the game. I simply can't and won't support what WG is doing now :(

My point is this is not a good tank, it’s ether the best tank ever or the worst tank ever. The fact you are correct, you don’t see many on the top leaderboards, that tank average damage standing will be low, and sadly this lies the problem, this will hide the toxicity of the tank. You don’t have to be a good player, in this tank to completely ruin someone’s game. Yes a bad player might die after, but that doesn’t change the toxic nature.

To be fair, I am an average player, and I bought the tank. I consistently UNDERperformed in the T249 over the course of 15-20 battles. I did see it come in top 3 very often, but my point is that it does require some skill in employing it effectively unlike the Era 2 Wiesel.
this tank will underperform. The average damage standing across the player bace will be low. Due to the unbalanced nature of the tank. It will ether be best tank ever, or garbage. Unfortunately this just hides the toxicity of the tank. The tanks not overpowered, it’s just broken, and it’s not possible to balance this mechanic.
@therandyduck yet they nerfed both the 183 British TD's because of the absence of those same stats. I challenged the guys analysis at the time on the forum pointing out autloaders were toxic boom/bust with far more divergent performance (no bell curve, basically 60%'ers and 40%'ers). Still they went ahead and cabbaged them in a way that makes no sense given the subsequent big gun tanks added.

It has a bleed mechanic. So if it can’t pen you, it will do low damage per shot, so will tick for 1 damage per round , and do like 200 damage per clip. So not a lot of damage but very annoying.

Who knew that an SPAA would be the best tank in a tank game. This game is such a joke now and people keep playing the game and I don’t know why. What’s the point of grinding the tech tree when you can just pull your out wallet and pay hundreds of dollars for all of these OP premium tanks that out play any of the tech tree tanks and this is the reason why I stop playing this game. When you can have an SPAA drive up behind you and melt your hit points down to zero in seconds then that’s a good reason to stop playing
Came back to playing tanks after a very long time off due to finding the game....ummmm...horrid to play. The derp meta was doing my head in, what with tanks not even doing pen and just taking your life away. Came back about 3 days ago, which I was enjoying. Then this thing popped it's head out of WG greedy pocket. To be honest with you I was a whale to this game. And had pretty much all tanks up until my break back in 2020. WG is trying to milk this game as much as it can before the player base dies off. This game did have skill at one point which made it fun and enjoyable. Premium tanks was money earners or had an edge in one place but not in the other l, so they was balanced. Now it's pay to win with dirty money grabs at the player base which I feel is dying compared to what it was. The problem is it's our fault for buying I to it. When I started the game back up and saw the old maps that as a community we was asking for, back I was happy. Now I could literally let my 4 year old play with one of these tanks and watch him derp or melt skilled players to dust Bad move yet again WG

Most people, will also agree, that the taran and Avre are op. And many have been calling out for a nerf. Very few say this is fine. So it’s hardly hypocritical. The vigilante is different, in a sense as the taran is over powered. The vigilante is broken.
The tanks is not op, it’s broken. In mainly cases the tank will be useless. But the tank is completely toxic, and can stred tanks, with 0 skill, giving them no time to react. And is generally bad for the games health.

Even the anti-aircraft tanks in Battlefield 4 can’t seriously damage main battle tanks in that game. This was no accident by Wargaming.
I think nerfing the ammo count to 1000 would be appropriate. It would make people play it more strategicly and not yolo as much

E-100 still gets mauled because they are in 2-3 man platoons usually and they do 200-400 damage every clip.

WG are up to something though; the Night Stalker renders heavily armoured tanks redundant and now this thing renders lightly armoured tanks redundant. My point is this is not a good tank, it’s ether the best tank ever or the worst tank ever.
The fact you are correct, you don’t see many on the top leaderboards, that tank average damage standing will be low, and sadly this lies the problem, this will hide the toxicity of the tank.
You don’t have to be a good player, in this tank to completely ruin someone’s game.
Yes a bad player might die after, but that doesn’t change the toxic nature.

They need to increase the Pen from 75 to 330 and Damage from 25 to 400 and increase the armor from 38mm to 300mm, then it well be decent.

To be fair, I am an average player, and I bought the tank. I consistently UNDERperformed in the T249 over the course of 15-20 battles. I did see it come in top 3 very often, but my point is that it does require some skill in employing it effectively unlike the Era 2 Wiesel.
this tank will underperform. The average damage standing across the player bace will be low. Due to the unbalanced nature of the tank. It will ether be best tank ever, or garbage. Unfortunately this just hides the toxicity of the tank. The tanks not overpowered, it’s just broken, and it’s not possible to balance this mechanic.
@therandyduck yet they nerfed both the 183 British TD's because of the absence of those same stats. I challenged the guys analysis at the time on the forum pointing out autloaders were toxic boom/bust with far more divergent performance (no bell curve, basically 60%'ers and 40%'ers). Still they went ahead and cabbaged them in a way that makes no sense given the subsequent big gun tanks added.
Even bad players do well with this tank. You missed first burst on the wz by a long way but had many more bullets to send.
Yeah, you have to consider I had played like 2 games in this tank at that point. I think I played 10 games made the video and never touched the tank again.

How does this tank damage me whej it doesn’t even have enough pen? No way it’s a super high roll either cause the amount of armor is above the +25 factor
It has a bleed mechanic. So if it can’t pen you, it will do low damage per shot, so will tick for 1 damage per round , and do like 200 damage per clip. So not a lot of damage but very annoying.

Who knew that an SPAA would be the best tank in a tank game. This game is such a joke now and people keep playing the game and I don’t know why. What’s the point of grinding the tech tree when you can just pull your out wallet and pay hundreds of dollars for all of these OP premium tanks that out play any of the tech tree tanks and this is the reason why I stop playing this game. When you can have an SPAA drive up behind you and melt your hit points down to zero in seconds then that’s a good reason to stop playing

Came back to playing tanks after a very long time off due to finding the game....ummmm...horrid to play. The derp meta was doing my head in, what with tanks not even doing pen and just taking your life away. Came back about 3 days ago, which I was enjoying. Then this thing popped it's head out of WG greedy pocket.
To be honest with you I was a whale to this game. And had pretty much all tanks up until my break back in 2020.
WG is trying to milk this game as much as it can before the player base dies off. This game did have skill at one point which made it fun and enjoyable. Premium tanks was money earners or had an edge in one place but not in the other l, so they was balanced. Now it's pay to win with dirty money grabs at the player base which I feel is dying compared to what it was. The problem is it's our fault for buying I to it.
When I started the game back up and saw the old maps that as a community we was asking for, back I was happy. Now I could literally let my 4 year old play with one of these tanks and watch him derp or melt skilled players to dust

Im going to be that guy. But ever since this tank. I dont see unicoms hiding and sniping on my team anymore. I have seen teams playing together again. If you have a marked tank guy hiding the t249 will get him. Been the best added tier 10 tank. Great to see people working together again

The tanks is not op, it’s broken. In mainly cases the tank will be useless. But the tank is completely toxic, and can stred tanks, with 0 skill, giving them no time to react. And is generally bad for the games health.
Pay to win tanks are destroying the game.
I have started to turn off the games when these appear, 3 of these on the enemy team even 2 has killed it for me.
Get back to WWII tanks only
