In a import shop I managed, we had a hot tank for washing parts. I harped on the technicians to install clean and oil free parts and also clean the area where oil/grease was present. It is a very messy task, many car owners could not care about this. However, it helps diagnose potential oil leaks in the future and it shows pride in workmanship. I truly appreciate how AMD is thoughtful in his attention to detail. It is a reflection of his work ethic. AMD is THE man when it comes to Toyota/Lexus!
I owned that exact same car, even the same color and it was honestly the best car I ever owned. My wife drove it for 8 years and I sold it for what I paid for it to a family member who drove it for another 10 years before they sold it. Wish they still made cars like that.
Yes! I like this Series. 1-2 per year in this “Show all details” is great. 2 reasons for the limited amount. 1) AMD you’re a busy guy, and the extra time it takes to do this kind video limits the # you can do. 2) the repertoire of different videos you do on this channel is many (Repairs, DYI, care care, education, highlighting all the great Toyota/Lexus vehicles, used car advice, etc.). I would like to see you keep a balance of all of these because you do them all so well.
Love your patience when you work on this Lexus engine AMD. I wish there are more mechanics that have the same work ethics as you. God bless your family and your business 🙌🙌
I like these videos in particular because you have to improvise when replacement parts are discontinued, something many of us with older Toyota / Lexus vehicles are encountering these days.
There is so much to like about all your videos and descriptions of what you are doing, but my most favorite part is how detailed, careful, methodical, clean and precise you are with all your repairs. Additionally your calm demeanor makes watching a very calming and pleasant experience.
Yes, a couple a year is fine. We may not have the vehicle you are working on, but can use techniques on our own Toyotas/Lexus. Great camera work Jose' on that transmission seal.👍🇺🇸
Love Toyotas... had them for 42 years. You're doing a great job. I can empathize with some of your Parts struggles. I am still learning... and grateful.
I recommend that you watch the latest video of African Mechanics. That is how you rebuild a Toyota engine out in the street. Clean matting surfaces with a scotch bright, dont bother just use an old piston ring. Brake clean and fancy parts cleaner, dont bother use a high pressure water blaster. Toque settings dont bother just nice and tight. While it all looks a bit chaotic these guys really know their stuff and they work very methodically. Well worth a watch.
I know this is no help to you, but I have enjoyed all your content. From a complete interior strip out down to a simple water pump replacement, I really do enjoy it all and I can't say that I have missed an episode because I haven't. I feel confident you will come up with the best content with the cars you have on hand. God Bless!
Amd, you are a great teacher. As someone who once got a piece of metal in my eye, I worry about yours sometimes. Please consider eye protection when you’re under a car. God bless you brother.
absolutely, please wear safety glasses!! i can't get under a car without getting something in my eyes, it's not worth the risk! we like seeing you with two good eyes!! please take it from someone 75yrs old
I love the total attention to even the smallest details, so important, it all matters. I replaced the rusty oil pan on my Camry this fall, and CCN is right, super easy to cross thread/strip those threads!
Please keep these types of series. I like them. Especially on the older cars. Sucks Toyota doesn't have those hoses available. Luckily most hoses for the 22RE are available. I recently pulled out the 22RE in my 86 4Runner and replaced every gasket, hose with OEM Toyota parts. Truck runs like a top now, and ZERO leaks.
Iv learned many things from this video honesrly. I will love our local mechanics ( most are uneducated) to watch this video and understand the basic concepts of transmissions and emgine oil changes. Love from Nigeeia,Sokoto.
I have been watching your videos since day 1... you are truly a master and a blessing. It would be awesome if you made a video explaining the tools you use in your shop. Mainly the power tools. God bless😊
Ahmed, I love these start to finish series. These and the episodes where you just have a "fireside chat" with us about general topics. I learn so much. Keep going man!
I enjoy these episodes. I love the antention to detail and the talking through what you do. If you like doing these, keep it up. Love you brother in Christ!
17:00 Gotta love special tools that grow out of the ground! Best priced of the bunch! I have a few special tools of that sort and different sizes and even of different hardnesses. I have oak and hard maple for hardy type hits or presses and I even have basswood for when softblows are what's called for. Not sure if basswood grows in Illinois? I guess probably does, it likes cold winters with lots of autumn rains and hot summers. And some other trivia, basswood is excellent for carvers who carve their own duck decoys. Re your Toyota red sealant, that's just for transmission pan use? I think you use Toyota black on crankcase and other diff drivetrain parts? I recall you speaking highly of Toyota sealers if you can get them as they're a higher quality than some Parts stores carry. Is the red required because the transmission has sensors that are sensitive to certain bad fumes?
When I re-sealed my oil pan on my kia soul. I got a couple of 1 1/2 inch long shank bolts the same thread as the pan bolts and cut the hex heads off. After smoothing the cut area down just hand threaded those into the block far apart to use them as alignment pins. Was just not wanting to smear the sealant to much getting the bolt holes lined up.
Hello Sr! I will love to see more videos like this o e with beautiful old Toyotas. I have a Camry 2011 v6 3.5 of course, sadly not with enough money to fix it as he deserves but your Chanel inspires me to keep on Trying. God bless you and your shop!!! Ps: I’m the one from Mexico
Wonderful series!!!! Like the LS430 the entertainment value is incredible!! I’m biased because I’m an ex LS400 owner. A series like this is like a hot bowl of soup in the winter. It just checks all the boxes. Thank you AMD!
Yes by all means please keep these kind of videos coming. It is truly fascinating to see how it goes from a to z. I am a lightweight do-it-yourselfer but I just enjoy seeing how all this creates functions keep going please!!
I praise you for explaining your work and doing it. I enjoy learning how to install rubber hoses, seeing what the engine and transmission look like from below with the pan removed, why you remove part A to get to part B, and so much more!
A few of those transmission pan bolts seemed to be a bit on the loose side. Great camera angles on the transmission service José. Another excellent informative video!
when I see a one man restoration like this it makes me appreciate the innovation and organisation required to crank those out as fast as the manufacturers do
I sure wish you were in Central/South FL. I can not find a trustworthy and affordable certified mechanic for my '05 4Runner. It has 186k miles and runs great. Unfortunately, I am unable to work on it myself anymore. That Chicago weather (not to mention other things) is terrible......hint hint! 😊
Happy to see the correct choice on the last hose.put the correct size on it thy have it available as the thickness 😊great teaching on the fix it jobs🎉🎉🎉✌️remember no short cuts Mr
Great series please keep it up, thanks. I’m having trouble finding the correct inside and outside dimensions for replacement hoses like you on my 89’ FJ62 .
The cameraman is just brilliant

With AMDs attention to detail, he can fix many many brands and models, let that thought saturate.
@@arthurkowaliuk6812 What a strange reply. Thank You for posting it!
Jose' does a great job with the camera work.
Please don’t forget that atrocious aftermarket oil filter!!! Love the videos, keep them coming!
I feel better now that I know I wasn't the only one staring at that orange eyesore, hoping he'd just swap that filter out already. 😂
I owned that exact same car, even the same color and it was honestly the best car I ever owned. My wife drove it for 8 years and I sold it for what I paid for it to a family member who drove it for another 10 years before they sold it. Wish they still made cars like that.

Yes, I like the restorations, don't stop.
A man who takes pride in the product he turns out. Thank you for sharing with us.
Love your patience when you work on this Lexus engine AMD. I wish there are more mechanics that have the same work ethics as you. God bless your family and your business 🙌🙌
What a beautiful LS as I own a 1990 with over 300k miles. Btw… you’re the cleanest mechanic I know.
I like this type of content. Continue these types of shows.
Yes. Keep making content like this. I enjoy following along the master technician as he tackles some of the most challanging repairs.
Yes! More restoration series please!
Amazing craftsmanship restoring this classic!
I love this kind of mechanic storytelling. More of this? Yes, please!
Yes, complete car repair is great.
Great series. Just as good as the Sopranos.
😂😂😂😂😂
I like these videos in particular because you have to improvise when replacement parts are discontinued, something many of us with older Toyota / Lexus vehicles are encountering these days.
I love these restoration type things. I really appreciate people wanting to keep the cars on the road.
I like the series, I learn a little by little every time I watch it
Yes please! More series like this! Thanks for the amazing content!
AMD, love it. Please show us more bigger restoration projects that keep quality survivors on the road. 😊😊😊
There is so much to like about all your videos and descriptions of what you are doing, but my most favorite part is how detailed, careful, methodical, clean and precise you are with all your repairs. Additionally your calm demeanor makes watching a very calming and pleasant experience.

I liked this format, and watched it to the end. Wish list for me? : that 2UZ-FE, 4.7L v8 build.
As an owner of three 97 LS's, I love this series.
wow, that's impressive. I'd love to have your cars showcased. Are a couple of them parts cars? Or you drive all of them? Rust belt cars or sun state?
@28naveenator27van one daily 486k miles, another 112k and one with 47k, both stored in the garage, and started once in a while.
I love the lump of wood in the “special tool drawer “ I didn’t expect that
Definitely more series like this , very enjoyable
Thank you for your time on this episode. Always enjoy a journey like this when you resurrect a sleeping beast.
Yes more of these videos please!
Love it! Jose 's videography is brilliant, he is the hidden greatness of your channel.📽♥
Amd, you are a great teacher. As someone who once got a piece of metal in my eye, I worry about yours sometimes. Please consider eye protection when you’re under a car. God bless you brother.

Ya I got a small piece of metal in my eye from high school auto shop and it was painful and a trip to the dr to dig it out 😢
Pretty good idea
I have seen this guy with no ear protection when pounding on metal, he does love his toyotas
I was thinking the same thing! You only got one set of eyes…
Absolutely enjoy watching these type of series.
Great video love your work.
I LOVE THIS ALL EPISODES ON THIS CAR..I WAS HOPING TO SEE THE ENGINE REAR MAIN SEAL TO BE REPLACED..
I love the total attention to even the smallest details, so important, it all matters. I replaced the rusty oil pan on my Camry this fall, and CCN is right, super easy to cross thread/strip those threads!
yes, keep the series going
Dave’s auto repair rarely covers the fenders like you do… the car care nuts attention to detail is great, I wish he worked near me

Great watching you work..love the long videos
I have been watching your videos since day 1... you are truly a master and a blessing. It would be awesome if you made a video explaining the tools you use in your shop. Mainly the power tools. God bless😊

Thank You Ahmed! Great stuff as always.. maybe an old GX or Land Cruiser restoration for the next series?
A piece of wood deserves to be in the Special Tools
The Aqua Blast does a beautiful job removing years of grime in minutes.
Love this series and hope you can do more multi-episode videos of repairs in the future
I admire your attention to detail!
It's nice to see beautiful classics like this and what it takes to keep them running in top shape! Blessings to you and your family.

next time may be wearing a protection glasses!!!
Great series please keep it up, thanks. I’m having trouble finding the correct inside and outside dimensions for replacement hoses like you on my 89’ FJ62 .
Love LS400. Im looking for one now
Try the LS430 instead.
It's a much better improvement on the LS series.
Watch a few videos on the LS430 and you'll agree.
I’m enjoying just how you’re doing it.
