ABOUT ‘RAM SETU’ EP
The main reason for naming this EP (Extend Play) as 'Ram Setu' (setu means bridge) is that the bridge always binds the two ends together. My songs are also playing the role of bridge which connects my heart with the hearts of people who listen to my songs. Awadhi and Traditional songs have been used inside the EP to keep the vibe and atmosphere of Ramlila alive. We often get to hear Bhajans and Awadhi songs in Ramlilas held in cities and the best thing is that even today Ramlila happens in the same manner and beauty as it used to be many years ago.
Apart from this, the mention of Ram Setu is also considered important in Ramayana. Because this was the bridge on which Shree Ram and the entire Vanar Sena (monkey army) reached Lanka. Ram Setu is not just an EP but a sentiment that will take you closer to Shree Ram. The yearning to meet Shree Ram and the true devotion towards him will be clearly visible in this EP.
ABOUT KEWAT KE RAM TRACK
We are all aware of the incident of Kewat (boatman) and Ram. Kevat had attained that happiness while living which is not in the fate of every living being. Kewat got the auspicious opportunity to wash the feet of Rama, whose feet this world is yearning to touch. There is a selfless devotion in 'Kewat Ke Ram'. I wish we all could be as clean as that kewat and we too could have the opportunity to touch the feet of Rama. But in this dark age, no one is destined to be as lucky as that kewat, but still we stay connected with Rama through our prayers. Who knows in what form Ram may we meet tomorrow.
