@@soulcalibvr Borders are going from yellow to silver, set symbols are being replaced with the same coding as the JP cards, and something like every pack has at least a holo in it
I've always loved the EX cards, i grew up on the XY era of cards and its honestly great to see EX back again, kinda a massive wave of nostalgia seeing them back.

Technically, they’re lower-case ex cards from the Ruby/Sapphire era. They’re mechanically different than the EX cards from the XY era.

Definitely love the quality control of the Japenese sets, but always am gonna hold out for the big pulls i really want in English.

Have to be soo careful buying the S&V booster boxes from Japan! There's a tamper seal however you can get into the box on the other side without touching the strip pull! Make sure you have a trusted source!

I grew up with strictly English cards, I even thought Pokémon was made in America at one point in my life as a kid 😂 now I honestly prefer Japanese cards tho I don’t hesitate to buy both.
The changes to the cards not only bring freshness back to playing the game but also loving the old school

I wasn’t collecting pokemon when ex was a thing, I just started and watching your video’s makes me but The right stuff!
Should have just opened the packs from the premium trainer box instead of adding 10 extra packs of each set. It didn't show what the potential odds of what you can pull just from the premium box, just made a confusing mixture of hits not knowing where anything came from
1) I personally prefer English cards, I collected a lot of Japanese as a kid, but English cards are the way for me now.
2) CoD and Pokémon are the only games I play nowadays 😂
Great stream as usual, always watch you with my 9-year-old Grandson! Be well & God Bless. As to what my Grandson likes best, the English version, he does not read Japanese, LOL.. Although he does have a few Japanese cards that he treasures.
Ex cards bring back memories
The design of this box is pretty cool. Not sure I'd buy it for myself though as I think I'd just want the booster packs from it. Really enjoy watching you open this sort of product though:)
Wonder if they're going to have an English equivalent of this box. It's not like an ETB, but not like an end of year special box, kinda a nice middle ground...
Japanese cards are way more taken care of by the factory workers than English cards. Japanese cards go through a tougher check than English cards and I’ve had way more print errors with English. I personally hold Japanese cards to a higher standard 👍🏼😄 ( plus the silver boarder is waaaaaaaaay prettier than the yellow 💀 )
Idk I opened up 11 booster boxes of paradigm trigger my first time diving into Japanese cards and honestly it was incredibly boring. No trainer gallery cards and no radiant cards and a regular full art trainer counts as a "secret rare" I loved the quality and that's honestly the only thing I found enjoyable about ripping all those packs. Vstar universe I'll say was way more fun because it had the art rares secret art rares and the radiant cards on top of all the throwback v and vmax/vstar cards to pull as well.
I honestly prefer the English vs Japanese but I do like how they are adapting to the Japanese version of the cards. Maybe once I learn every Pokémon’s name I might change my mind lol
A bit hesitant about Scarlet and Violet, not sure if it's the style of the Pokemon or what. I'm sure I'll end up collecting it just as much as Sword & Shield though

Didn’t think I’d like the silver borders in favor of the classic yellow but it definitely makes the cards look CLEAN

From a collecting point of view I have preferred the Japanese mainly for the quality. It always seems better on average with Japanese cards.

When it comes to quality it's Japanese cards hands down every time. It looks like they always put more care and work into the artwork of the Japanese sets than they do the US cards.
6:34 Japanese definitely have better quality compared to English, I collect both more Japanese stuff tho.
A lot of people seem disappointed with the new holo pattern and other changes, but honestly I like it from what I’m seeing. I’ll have to see the Scarlet and Violet cards in person to decide though.
finally some other friends ex for my steam ones it's been so long the tins costed 2 bucks and i only bought 1 i should've bought 2 of them because i got darkrai ex gardevoir ex and a mega ex heracross thing and some other pulls
edit : i got 2 mega but i forgot the other one it was an electric dog thing and both of the megas had japanese on them

English FTW. Don't get me wrong, I still love the art on the Japanese cards but I want to be able to read the card instead of just being able to see the art.
I cant wait for gray borders on english cards. I feel like its long overdue. Japanese cards have a much cleaner look with the borders.

I loved this video and I am rooting for violet and I prefer English version because I have never opened a Japanese pack I have only opened English packs so I prefer the English version

new cards look nice, I honestly like the backs of Japanese cards better and they look cleaner with the silver boarders excited to get those for the English cards.
