@NateSRT You aren't wearing out the clutch at all when you downshift without rev matching. Modern cars have synchros. Rev matching is only done do that a car can take a corner flat.
Interesting. What if.... Slowing down the car by pressing the brake from 55 on 5th gear mph to 25 mph 3rd gear, to a complete stop WITHOUT touching the gas pedal or blip? Would that be bad? I don't understand how would that cause clutch wear?
The clutch wear would be from when you downshift and don't rev match but if you perfectly rev matched all the way then I think you'd be fine. To get to zero you'd also need level ground right at the end. Interesting exercise!
@@natesrt Complete bullshit. You aren't wearing out the clutch at all when you downshift without rev matching. Modern cars have synchros. Rev matching is only done do that a car can take a corner flat.
I don't think it has active rev match like the Camaro. It's easy enough to do yourself though. Just blip the throttle while in neutral between the shifts. Also feels pretty damn good to get it right 🙂
I’ve seen different sequences ie shift and blip at the same time but the way you do it feels right to me.
Thanks man!
Great explain sir.

So you don't double clutch when you down shift?
