My paternal grandparents came from Aberdeen but I never heard the word Doric. However, listening to some of the videos, I recognize words that they used and that we were familiar with as children. Good luck with re establishing the language. I will try and in- corporate words in my daily conversations. My paternal grandparents were from the The Hebrides and Gaelic speakers. I am studying Gaelic now.
