I'll give GW credit for one thing, the variety you're getting in that Leviathan starter box. Gone are the days when a 40k starter box would just have 15 Marines, 30 Ork boyz and a card standup Deff Dredd.

It looks like the person who did the sculpts used a 3D scanner that missed items. That beimg said, from the table it won't matter. The other thing I would say is that there are better alternatives from other creators like one page rules and others that would be even better than people trying to scan or copy GW. The Neurotyrant you showed was sick though.

Depends what on your army and if you just want one. GW boxes are great but it’s nice being able to print spare armies to play with those who don’t have any. I have a have a tau army, space marine army, grey knights, couple of titans and a few vehicles. All from free stls and all high quality. The options are endless. However the 3d printing process is messy and toxic. You have to gear up. Prints take a few hours. If that’s not for you then don’t bother with it

@@carlstanford7607 agree fully I also tend to play the small games like KT or WC. But yes my bud needed to buy a tent with exhaustion fan for the fumes and then the clean up process is also not fun especially if there is a print failure

Yup, mouldlines are a bitch. But you become sort of an expert if you do it long enough and try different tools. Newer kits are better for it, especially the "premium" ones like Primarchs etc
